does anyone have any tips on avoiding becoming a passive narrator when you write? sometimes when i write, i’m apparently a little dispassionate with details, and i become a passive narrator instead of an engaged one.

so busy n i have a dissertation to work on 😓
today was productive at least, i had a meeting w/ my supervisor, but i kept making him laugh, n everytime he laughed he had a coughing fit n i was worried he might croak.
also had my mandarin class and caught up on what i’d missed, but that wasn’t helpful in the long run, my new teacher teaches everything in mandarin which is difficult for an elementary class.
then i got home and cleaned :D my nails are painted and my shower is scrubbed so i’m pretty much unstoppable now.
