Weekend With The Warners Chapter Two - Animaniacs & Pinky and The Brain
Summary: When the CEO tasks Pinky and The Brain with the important assignment of watching over the Warners for the weekend, Brain is prepared for any antics that the children have in store. What he didnât take into account was forming a familial bond with the kids.Â

The mice continued on their way through the studio lot, holding hands as they went. As they found themselves alone near the lot entrance, Brain decided to discuss his latest plan with his partner.
âListen close, Pinky, for I have devised a surefire plan to take over the world. Your ingenious decision of choosing The Iron Giant as our date night movie the other evening has greatly inspired me, Pinky. We will build a giant robot to assert our dominance over humanity!â Brain eagerly declared, choosing to ignore the pacifist message of the beloved animated movie. âIâve already made calculations for our finances, and we would need exactly five million dollars to buy the necessary parts. Fortunately, Iâve come up with a brilliant way to acquire the funds.âÂ

Combined with the first @zanytothemax06âs HCâs being captured and..
Along with @kitkat1003âs fanfic on before their reboot-
Iâve created a little comic/story mash up thing
I may have teared up reading over them both and drawing this and I highly recommend reading these â€ïž
So basically what I put together was the chase scene, and yakko against the guards from the fanfic. This- AND Dot being taken first, with Wakko being bribed (in a more sinister way) last from the HCâs. Yakko and Wakkoâs hug never happens.. but I was in a mood so I made it happen đ

For those who donât know:Â
Tom Ruegger is the original creator of Animaniacs. Heâs the guy you have to thank for the iconic characters Yakko, Wakko, and Dot (for whom the primary inspiration was his own three sons.) Among many others, including the equally popular Pinky and the Brain. He was also an involved writer/lyricist for the show and played a huge part in coming up with new song & story ideas.
Yet despite all of this, Tom was never asked back for the 2020 reboot. In fact, he wasnât even aware that a reboot was in production until it was announced to the public. Although Tom has expressed plenty of interest in being involved in the reboot, WB/Hulu has repeatedly turned him away.
Tomâs oldest son, Nate Ruegger (voice of Skippy Squirrel,) has spoken out about this on his twitter:Â
âthe naked greed on display here to reboot a series without involving any of the original creative team so they can make *more* money, & then joke about it, is gross.â (x)
And heâs absolutely right. Outside of the main voice cast, none of the original team was consulted for the reboot. Tom was/is an integral part of Animaniacs. Without him, the show would never have existed, let alone become a cultural phenomenon. It doesnât seem right for him to be cut out of the revival of a show that he is largely responsible for bringing to life in the first place.
The mistreatment and blatant disrespect of creators by big-name companies is something Iâve seen way too much of lately, and even though this is far from the first time, that doesnât make the practice in anyway right or okay.
Iâve seen petitions for this going around, but they rarely gain enough traction, so Iâm taking a more direct approach:
Iâm asking fans of the series - new & old alike, regardless of your opinion on the reboot itself - to please reblog this. Or, simply spread the hashtag #BringBackTomRuegger somewhere on your social media.
So that we can let the new showrunners know that we, the fans, want to see Tom brought back for future seasons!!!
Iâm not asking for a full rewrite, I just want the man who created these characters to have some say in what happens to them, as he should. Please share to show support, if you agree!

đ” Home, Love, Family. There was once a time I must have had them, too. Home, Love, Family, I will never be complete Until I find you⊠đ”
I 100% blame this AMAZING fanfic âOnce Upon A Decemberâ, for making me draw this in the first place.

I feel like we're sleeping on the implications of "Here Comes Treble"
We mention it in regard to Yakko's fear of being tongue tied and losing his voice, but we don't speak about the more universal meaning of that scene
Apparently everyone who works on the cartoon can CONTROL the toons??
Up until now, it always seemed like the Warners were pretty much in control. Heck, they have an entire song about it in the first series("The Very Model Of A Cartoon Individual"). Slappy also proves to us that she can do whatever she wants time after time.
But in this sketch, not only the music conductor is able to control the Warner's setting and apperantly bodies, but the control room can silence them and it doesn't get solved even in the REAL world until they get the channels back on?(as shown by Dot turning hers up before dropping her punchline)
More then that, non of the musicians seem cencerned about this or surprised about this(not to mention the guys in the control room being entirely up to it, apparently). The Warners DO seem surprised, but I can't tell if it's because of the ability or just the fact they actually USE it. In any case, this is a very terrifying detail.
Until now, the toons were always in control of their situation and powers, but is it still the case?
