Augustine the Ampharos and Yuka the Meganium. Yuka met August in her teens while training for the league challenge. As part of her lineage as a starter she had been selected in her family to take part. August was interested in the league for the funds it could provide him to pursue schooling.

They meet when August is working up the nerves to go inside one of the offices to sign up. He compliments her and shows her a bad drawing of his ideal battle outfit. She laughs as he pokes fun at himself. They hit it off, and August asks her out. He completely forgets about signing up that day. They go out for coffee, and they next meet up to have him sign into the league. He gets copies of the paperwork, fills out, but forgets to turn it in. Not long after, Yuka is pregnant with their son, Ryuji. She takes leave of the league. Something they would later learn was a blessing in disguise. Their relationship moves fast and is somewhat tumultuous. August takes on whatever job he can to support them and save up for school. Yuka swallows her pride to ask for money from her family. They accept under the condition of naming the child and contributing to big decisions in his life. She agrees. They later have a daughter, Snow. They're more stable. Snow doesn't have to live by the same stipulations as her brother. Life is peaceful. August and Yuka realize they don't know a lot about themselves as they grow older. They love each other, but maybe it's not so romantic. August realizes he is gay and confesses to Yuka. She has also been pondering her sexuality. They come out to each other. They open their marriage to explore their new feelings.
