A diptych, featuring River & Dawn! (the theme was "Inside/Outside"). I'm still super new to acrylic gouache and lost my original outlines when working on the boys, which did end up changing the faces a bit... So induced the original linework version for kicks!

"Pineapple Pilferers" (2021)!
I'm extremely bummed that I only learned about #yeehawgust today... Ah well, next year!
I wanted to set the stage for future art and comics by sharing my first crack at bringing these boys to life! Original characters River (L) and Dawn (R)! (This was also my first crack at using acrylic gouache -- I don't consider myself to be much of a painter, but this didn't turn out too bad!)
These Cowfolx are the protagonists of a post-apocalyptic fantasy western that my partner and I have been slowly chipping away at. I'm looking forward to sharing more of these two!
