  We need to remember that this Chara is not human anymore. Chara Dreemurr, while maintaining a physical form albeit dead, is aware of the many timelines and playthroughs of their world. Each run, good or bad, has been experienced by them entirely. Chara has deviated from being even remotely similar to Frisk, and even Kris, yet CONTINUES to watch them regardless. Each choice, while already assumed from the pre-determined endings, is still going to be monitored by Chara. You could say this Chara is one out of MANY, yet is entirely aware that while they are omnipotent, many others could be too.

 They’re their own force to be reckoned with.

   And here comes the source-less HISSING, black gunk threatens to ooze from their eyes and mouth as they swat at Leys’ arm, their unbridled anger showing solely from the redness collecting across their cheeks. Not to be confused with embarrassment. 

    This turn of events could be imitating what was possible when they still had a functioning, breathing VESSEL.

  AH, YES. They remember this godforsaken command; hassling them was one of the many things Leys did to get a rise out of Chara SPECIFICALLY-- and it worked, most of the time.

  Presence of noise- omnipresent and thick, like the ocean water slamming against ears as one is pulled further and further. They walk among glass shards and layers of filth– a newly born light in their midst shining too brightly to be dimmed filling the atmosphere with an overwhelming sense of something they haven’t felt for a very long while. 

  This.. is more than a crooked reflection in the mirror. What they see here is fresh, a still vessel that had arrived abruptly in spite of the very many years Chara has resided here. Each path held useless meaning, yes, but impacted those who delved anyway. Where one gate closed, finished, another opened, letting everything at once in; some souls cannot be smeared from existence either, reeking of abnormal decay…And some cannot be corrupted, for they are wise enough to not participate in a lost battle already predicted far from their control. No, scalding tongues and swirling ashes were not found here. Only Kris.

  So, Chara does what they do best: smile.
