We are imaginative young performers that create work that explores the place we come from and our place within it - we're aged 15 - 21 and meet at Core Corby

Photo of Corby young actors, after seeing the performance Shame, by Steven Berkovitch, a resident poet, dancer and visual artist at the Cube. The poem went through the life of Steven, tracking through his dark times, with a touching sentiment at the end. We were gripped throughout, and moved by the performance and the way the story was told, which was in so many different ways. This has sparked our imaginations, and that you must first stray into the impossible, to find out what is possible.

Presenting the IMpossible task
These pictures were used as a collaborative project in which we used the colours of the post-it notes, and used the post it notes that you sent to us from India, and we created ideas in which we used the first things that came into our heads, and wrote them down that relate to the colour. We then came together and wrote 5 things that we are interested about and we then read them out, and we were then given one minute to come up with an impossible idea. in the end, we actually realised that these ideas were not impossible and were very reachable, but posed major themes and questions from our social point of view. this helped us look into how we all devise personally, and also gave us an insight into each others imaginations and were we want to take the performance.

Our Apology.
We're starting with an apology
We can't wait to get started in the Contacting The World Community
But we've been making a show for our Slam in Corby
Until today
And we don't want to delay
Our twin, our twinning
We are brimming
With ideas and creativity and stories to tell
But we needed to get something to you today
We don't want to delay the exchange
Or hold it back before it's started
We want to stay on track
So here it is, our first offering
Hastily assembled but heartfelt all the same
We're looking forward to knowing you
Your faces, world and names

S’all about balance
Our culture is one which revolves around capturing our innermost feelings in 140 characters or less.
The British culture is obsessed
By blogging, documenting the mundanity of our lives on the internet for all to see,
in the hope of bridging the gap which the motorways and oceans create between you and me
Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Bebo, Myspace, Instagram –
Social media makes and takes up a huge portion of our day to day lives.
Our coping mechanisms, our performance platforms,
our place for sarcasm and wit, our way of sharing passions,
the documentation of our will to succeed.
Our culture's internet is a brilliant thing,
full of fab little quotes to get us through the day and make us ‘better’ people, for example:
'always find one good thing about someone before finding something bad',
'Never cruel or cowardly. Never give up. Never give in'
'I don't do drugs.. I am drugs' (Dali)
There again it's also filled with this stupidity and inanity:
'Never say never'
'You know my name not my story'
'If you don't retweet this you have no <3'
S'all about balance, eh India?

Family.
Family can be the turning point of any situation you are presented with, your family are the people who always promise to be there for you no matter what you do in your life and you promise to do the same with an unconditional bond, but what happens when your family becomes broken and its harder to be there for each other, what happens when that bond that is supposed to be unbreakable is broken from the loss of trust or loyalty? will you still be there for the family members that tear you in two and break your heart? will the bond that you have still be as strong as ever if a family member chooses to leave you or has to leave for some insane/crazy reason? who do you turn to for help and support if not your family? many people come from broken homes and will make an unbreakable bond with one certain family member that makes them feel safe, at ease, wanted, needed, a person that keeps everything in their world from crumbling or falling apart mentally and physically, be this their mother, father, uncle or even a family member who is not of your blood relation, a person so close to your family that they become family in your eyes, a close friend, a group of friends even or in many cases a partner, maybe Miranda? the thing with family is that they can come from the same blood line or they could just be seen as your family but no matter what your views or anybody else's views are on family, there will always be that one person (be they actual family or adopted family) who may break your heart but has the ability to heal it at the same time. that one person is the person you will always turn to and have that unconditional bond with, that person is your world and YOUR family, and no matter what! they will always promise to be there for you, just like you'll always promise to be there for them.
