another formatless mod post coming at ya hot. we won't be opening the group for reservations just yet—that's definitely going to be tomorrow because we still have some lose ends that we weren't able to tie up last night waiting for us.

but since you guys have been the best, i'm going to give you guys early access to a few things that will make the reservation and applying process super easy for you guys on friday.

friday until sunday you'll have the opportunity to move your things from copycat to party favor. if you have not posted an original post on your character in the usual activity check timespan (5 days) by the time i'm posting this, please message us to get the green light from us to move to the new group. on monday, we'll open the group to the rest of bandom.

HEAD’S UP!

hey copycat! the new group is juuuuust about done. we have a few more things to wrap up and then we’ll be ready to start the process of a soft opening. tomorrow or friday, depending on how quickly we can finish things up and do a once over to make sure everything looks good, we’ll be providing you guys with the link. from there, you’ll have 48 hours to reserve your roles here and start the process of moving everything over. we’ll have a ton more details and instructions for you guys once we post the link. we are stupid excited for you guys to see the expanded universe we’ve thrown together for y’all. if we aren’t ready by tomorrow, we’ll give you guys enough notice to be ready for the soft opening on friday. see ya soon!

regarding the future of copycat:

hey sweet friends! this is not a sad post, so we hope you guys don’t take it that way. it’s no secret at all that things have slowed down to a near halt lately. our inbox is empty most days and, while we appreciate the handful of you that continue to post on the dash and keep the group’s energy warm  and welcoming, i think we can agree that dash activity isn’t what it used to be. we’re not disheartened, though. copycat has been what we needed--a little escape that we wanted to pour our hearts into. it’s been a pleasure running this group and we have no negative thoughts or feelings towards it at all. we took a risk with the idea and the plot that we had for this group and it turned out better than we were hoping. however, we’ve reached the point where we’re not too sure if it’s viable anymore. we’ve lost a lot of original characters and an overwhelming amount of our competitor bands are empty, making the battle of the bands aspect sparse to the point that it’s nearly moot. we don’t want to close our doors just yet because we want to continue to provide the remainder of you guys a comfortable home for your muses. we’re in the very early stages of discussing a revamp and we just want to keep you as informed and as in the loop as possible.  we have a ton of ideas floating around already, we just need some time to bring them to fruition. please excuse our absence if you don’t hear from us on the main blog in terms of activity checks or things like that. we’re still here, 100%, but we’re getting back in the creative groove of putting together new and exciting ideas. the tour blog will continue running as normal as we wrap up the last few days of the north american tour. we ask that you guys continue to stick with us as we roll out updates--it’s super simple. we provided the idea of copycat, but you guys turned it into what it actually is, and for that, we’re extremely grateful. the group isn’t closed: the dash will remain a place for you guys to continue to post and interact as you please. we’ll be posting our next step and some updates for you guys relatively soon. we love you, we love you, we love you. have a good night and we’ll talk soon. ♡

can people bring pets on tour?

hey love! that’s a great question. we generally don’t recommend it, especially when we hit the overseas legs of tour, just because we like to keep things as realistic as possible when it comes to the touring aspect. if it’s a service animal or something like that, absolutely go ahead. if it’s a normal pet, we’ll leave it up to you, but please do your best to keep things as realistic as you can when it comes to an animal on the road and flying. thank you!

hey sweet friends! that activity check was a little soul crushing to put together, i won’t lie to you guys. however, please don’t be worried or put off by it. the amount of people inactive or slowly going inactive has no reflection on the current admin team’s interest in the group. the three of us still very much love copycat and are super dedicated to keeping the group alive for you guys as long as you plan to stick around with us. we’re proud of putting something a little new and a little different into the bandom rp world and we’re sincerely not planning on dropping out on you guys that easily. we’re in the development phase for the second leg of tour and plan to drop those tour dates very, very, very soon so definitely keep an eye out. i’m gonna end this by saying thank you for giving our little group a chance. we love y’all.
