Conclusion
My initial inspiration came from my keen following of British heritage and how this has had an impact on the fashion industry over the years. Therefore, I wanted to explore a certain part in British influences on the fashion industry. After narrowing down which area I wanted to go to, I thought rebellion through clothing was an interesting topic to look into.
I wanted to choose branding as my work because I have always had an interest in branding, logos and designing garments. This appealed to me other than image making because I thought I could be more creative to create ‘Haitch’. The other reason I wanted to create this was because my end goal is to eventually create this brand when I have graduated so it was really interesting looking into how a collection is researched and produced.
My first research was to look into what groups people associate with rebellion. This helped me decide on first concept boards and research platforms to get more information on why and how these people rebelled. From this it also helped me design logos for ‘Haitch’ and see what trends I could use from past influences with a contemporary look on. After researching rebellious groups I found the Football Casuals were a big influence in fashion and I found that clothing to them was a really important aspect in their groups. Finding out this helped me decide on what I wanted ‘Haitch’ to be about and it is that sense of being belonged.
After gathering my research I then decided to get garments printed and made by Bill Moss for my work which helped me a lot to experiment with print and embroidery. This also helped me with what logos I wanted to use in my final collection because I could see it embroidered and printed on a fabric. With my garments and research I then started to create more designs with a colour palette I chose from influences of past and present trend colours that I think work really well. With these designs I then wanted to carry them on to see what I could use in my final collection. Whilst I was creating this, I wanted to show my garments in more of a creative way - the photoshoot. I decided on the Halliwell Jones stadium as I really liked the blue and yellow seating I knew they had which went well with my concept and colour range.
I think that my time management through this project has been good. I have kept on top of all my work and attended every class for more inspiration and responses to my work which really helped. I haven’t struggled in many parts of this project because I have enjoyed doing it but if I could do it again I would maybe do a better photoshoot with someone else doing the photography so I could put all my time into styling the models.
Overall, I am happy with the outcome of my project and I have really tried to explore my subject of rebellion through clothing. I feel that I have created a strong body of work and my branding package has worked out well. Relating this to my essay, I think that they do really relate and can be compared to each other, making sense in the research and discussions. With the brand ethos of feeling belonged to and to create self-expression has shown through in my work and in my brand.

Printing out my brand package (portfolio sheets) to put in a folder which includes, brand statement, visual/research boards, designs of garments, illustrations, branding package ideas, final collection and final photoshoot. Here I am deciding if I want the pages to be printed on matte or glossy paper. I went for the glossy paper which is on the right because the colours were more vibrant than the matte looking print. I am happy with the final outcome of my prints.

These are the main photos I have chosen to use in my project. I have decided to use a vintage look in my images that give a retro feel. This really appeals to my concept of football hooliganism in the 70s and I think the colours in the effect work well with the other colours in the image.

Haitch contact sheets at Halliwell Jones. I am happy with the photos I had taken with this shoot. This is my first photoshoot that I done with the t-shirts and hoodies I have created for me. I used 2 models - Tom and Rob for this shoot as I like the look of them and I think it worked well in the images. I wanted the poses of the models to be casual and masculine to fit the purpose of my concept with football. The shoots in the stands worked well and the standing up stands were good to experiment with poses. The chair photos were also good as I could do good postures sat down and pretending concentrating on a game. The styling from this shoot of loose fitted pants, different caps, Adidas Stan Smiths and Gucci boots worked well with the idea of football casuals and hooliganism. My favourite images are of the hand gestures as it shows rebellion and passion in the imagery. If I were to do this shoot again I would maybe use a photographer to take the images for me so I could focus more on what I wanted my models to do and for the best outcomes in the imagery. With these photos I would like to put my final ones in the ‘top trump’ cards I created previously. I would like to call this photoshoot from a quote that Henry Holland said about football scarves in one of his collections - “There is a real feeling in the air of having to belong to something” (Henry Holland) this quote is a perfect way to explain what Haitch is about and is trying to achieve in what they do.

Styling options for photoshoot with the location I am going to do my photoshoot. Even though Halliwell Jones is the home to Warrington Wolves rugby, this location would really work well with the stands and I think I will be able to get really good images of my models in the garments. The styling images at the top are to see what certain photographers are doing at the moment, the most being by Jordan Green. I like the style of the shoots because they have a sense of rebellion in the body gestures and mood of the imagery. I would like to experiment with these postures with my models to get this feeling and also have the models cheering and showing passion. After I have the images I would like to put them into the cards I have created in past posts.

Here is my final embroidered hoodie that I have had done with the design underneath of the embroidery that was sent over to me for a final check. This is my favourite because of the logo, I think it works really well with the football style with the shield. I also think the embroidery has worked really well and looks really professional. With all of these t-shirts I would like to do a bit of a photoshoot at Warrington Halliwell Hones in the stands to showcase the ideas.
