🚨NYCC Carmilla Movie Giveaway!! 🚨

so with one week to NYCC, I’m giving away some Carmilla movie packages. I’m really grateful to be at a point in my life where I’m financially able to go do awesome things like NYCC, and comfortable enough with who I am to go to a panel for an openly queer movie, which I never would’ve even imagined when I was younger. I really want to give back to the Creampuffs and I want to make sure that everyone who wants to see the movie can. I’m not sure if anyone still needs it, but if you do, give this post a reblog or a like!

Interview Natasha Negovanlis. Lesbicanarias.es

 Lesbicanarias: If you had the oportunity of recreating any period of Carmilla´s life (or invent one), what adventure would you choose to experiment?

Natasha Negovanlis: I would like to see how Carmilla was in 1970´s during punk rock´s beginnign. I feel it was a movement she had enjoyed so much and she had been involved in.

Lesbicanarias: Is there any aspect in fame Carmilla has brought to you that attracts your attention?

Natasha Negovanlis: One of the things I am more grateful for it is the present of being a role model for young people who feel misunderstoos and not represented. As a bullied woman when I was younger and that identifies as queer I really appreciate the power of giving a voice and a platform to others.

Lesbicanarias:Two weeks ago you wrote an article about the importance of having positive lgtb representation in Canada TV and how shows like The L Word helped you to understand yourself. How do you feel knowing that now it is you who has made the same to another generation of girls, not just in Canada but in other countries or even continents?

Natasha Negovanlis: It is surreal and it is something I don´t consider settles. I feel very lucky and I hape I can continue playing stronger women in the future.

Lesbicanarias: Is there any queer chatarcter special for you?

Natasha Negovanlis: I may not be objective because it is my friend, but I love the way Katherine Barrell plays Nicole Haught on Wynonna Earp.

Lesbicanarias: Why is important to you to take part in ClexaCon?

Natasha Negovanlis: It is important to me to take part in ClexaCon because they support positive queer representation. Not just because I play one queer character on Carmilla, but this is my community and  think LGTBQ fans deserve something better. Also, being surrounded of so many inspiring people moves me, so many talented women and meet fans I have never get the chance of knowing yet. I love having the cahnce of say thanks to them for support me in person.

Lesbicanarias: Last year you started your way in YouTube hosting KindaTV, how has been this experience?

Natasha Negovanlis: My job at KindaTV it is interesant because I work as a presenter rather than a traditional youtuber and I work with a team instead of creating all by miself. It has taught me teamwork and I have learnt a lot about YouTube industry. Being a presenter it is so much different than being an actress because I have to learnt how to feel comfortable in my own skin, with myself instead of play a character. It is a funny chalenge but in my heart I am an actress.

Lesbicanarias: What are your ptoyects for this year?

Natasha Negovanlis: Unfortunately, I cannot give you so much information about it but what I can say is that there are a pair of new roles for this year. Also, I am starting to write and produce my own proyect with my friend and Carmilla co-star Annie Briggs. It is a comedy show and I hope we can produce it at some point this year. Stay tunned!
