Did a caramelized onion & cheese kugel but I subbed in Boursin for some of the cottage cheese and at the end I topped it with crispy fried onions that I’d tossed in brown butter and nutmeg…and then drizzled just a touch of honey. It went crazy

@practicalpeculiarities Haunt your stomach with these ghostly treats! It may be a shocker to you that I am using ready made ingredients. My confession is, sometimes I do! I am a artist before I’m a baker. Though I do love making things from scratch, sometimes I just want to create without the extra steps. For this recipe I use
-Pre-made Pie crust (I got mine from Aldi) Pillsbury is also good.
-1 can of blueberry pie filling. I love the Duncan Hines one.
-Lemon Glaze. (Recipe in video)
- Bake as directed on the pie crust box.

First time trying a bloody Mary.. felt crazy to be drinking at 11am but it hit just right when I'm recovering from a cold. Also got a Reuben and honestly this was just a perfect meal I've been thinking about it all day. I never have fries now due to my health girl lifestyle (and Maccas boycott - previously my preferred fry vendor) so this was a treat and they were amazing.

I want everyone to be able to have a comforting meal when things are tough so I am making a simplified version of the congee that I eat each morning available for all the stomachache havers and breakfast skippers <3 trust your gut!!! Recipe:
In a medium to large pot bring 7 cups of water or broth to a gentle boil, then add 1 cup to rinsed short grain or jasmine rice.
Add in a teaspoon of ground ginger and a big pinch of salt.
Bring back to a simmer then partially cover and let cook on medium low heat for 24 minutes without touching.
Turn off the heat and whisk rapidly for 5 minutes or until the rice grains are broken up and the gooey texture is formed!
Finish with finely chopped scallion, toasted sesame oil, and I like to add cooked shrimp or bacon!
If you struggle to get in your fiber you can add a cup of adzuki beans too and it goes together beautifully

Made asparagus fries today. Went well dipped in Sriracha mayo but fairly bland on their own. However I'm keeping this in my repertoire as a side/snack. Also the recipe I followed didn't add seasonings to the coating and that seems like an obvious thing I can change to make these a lot better 🤔

Vegetarian Shepherd's Pie
Made this last night, soo yummy. The Greek yoghurt in the mash is such a good idea. I also added red lentils into the veggie mix for a little extra something.
