there's literally nothing more healing for my soul than watching pigeons take turns bathing in the little water plates I leave for them

I've been waiting to confirm this, but-turns out Americano, Coo's mate (or not), is very much alive! She's as calm around me and vicious around other birds as ever
October 19th was the last time I saw her-even got a photo of her with Coo, and posted it here. Then she disappeared. At first I assumed eggs, but every other time, she's still come in the late afternoon when the male takes over nest duties, and they bring the fledglings when they're ready. Nothing this time, and Coo has been hanging out here alone a lot in the meanwhile.
But about two weeks ago, I thought I saw her-and then for definite, on off since then. But, she's not often with Coo, and when they are around together, they don't fight, but don't interact either. They used to at least cuddle and preen each other while waiting, or after being fed. Now nothing-she's left and he's currently waiting, even
Was she birdnapped? Or did they… get divorced???
