Motherhood is yesterday’s leggings, a t-shirt that may or may not be inside out – I don’t know because I haven’t had the time to check. A cardigan and the messiest messy bun to ever exist tops off the look as you pray to the gods that the UPS man doesn’t show up when baby has a blowout in your arms.

Motherhood is stepping on the puffs your baby loves to shove everywhere in attempts to make it into her mouth. You thought she’d eaten them all, just look in the seat of her high chair.

Motherhood is baby in one hand, cold coffee in the other. The dryer buzzes and you need to fold but baby is teething and fussy, and won’t let you put her down.

Motherhood is a messy house, or a clean one if that’s your thing. And yet, a happy baby plays at your feet.

Motherhood is breast is best, or fed is best.

Motherhood is working outside the home, or in, or not at all.

Motherhood is supporting the moms in your community and in the world.

Motherhood is absolutely the best thing ever.
