Being Average

I slowly but surely believe that I am just hard to please with what life is throwing at me.

I live in a good house and I pursue a high education. I am in a relationship with a beautiful girl and people around me seem to think that I am a good guy. Yet I can't get rid of the feeling of disatisfaction.

I don't feel any personal accomplishment. Nothing that I am proud of, nothing I can look at and say "yeah I did that". It's expected to get a good education, it's expected to eventualy start a relationship and it's expected to be a good human.

Everything I started with personal reasons such as learning guitar, getting good at videogames, writing or anything else failed. I can't play the songs that I want on guitar(even after 5 years), I just have a slightly above average skill in games and I can't write properly, because everything I write is stale and has been done to death and I am just another sandcorn in the desert.

There is nothing special about me and I am sickened by my own mediocrite. So what is even the point?

As much as I am totally lost in this world and how much I dislike the world, I find myself in bed, under my blanket, with my DS in hand, music playing along and feeling joy. Most of the time I don’t apprichate the situation that I am currently in, though it is not close to being perfect it is not bad either. It’s the little things that matter and people such as myself often forget that, dispite all the things that we have been through, we are still here. We are still who we are. You are still here. You are still who you are. You are still You.

Final Fantasy X Soundtrack: What can I say what people haven't said enough already about this soundtrack? Well I try to go over some tracks that I found to be the most intresting. Nobuo Uematsu, who composes most of the pieces for FF, requested for first time help in composing a soundtrack for FF and boy was it a good call. Not only did it, in my opinion, surpass his pervious works, but he managed to create an iconic tune (To Zanakand) which is referenced till this date in memes. Of course, this doesn't imply that it is a good tune since darude sandstorm is also a meme song, but it always fits the mood which it is put in but enough of that. Song of Prayers and it varients are also creativ. They acompany the attitude and voices of the Aoens well. For example Bahamut, who is represent by a child, and his hyme is sung by a young singer with a soft and high-pitched voice. These details are always delightful in Uematsu's tracks. Also a quick overview about the battle themes. All seem to fit and they're very distinct. Although alot of those themes don't have a traditional FF fighting theme. What I mean by that is FF battle themes usualy start with the battle encounter-sound, then only the baseline and then the actual track. FFX broke the trope with instantly starting with the intro piece and no solo baseline for the first 3-5 seconds. The slow boss battle theme also changes up the mood of the standard battles. Pervious FF boss battle themes were more aggressiv in their tone, pumping up the player and making him ready to go ham. FFX on the other hand intemidates the player with a slow music piece, which fits the gameplay off FFX too, taking a more slow approach to the bosses and planning things through before mindlessly attacking. Again FFX combat system was turned into turn-based combat to open up strategic gameplay. Otherworld was truely out of this world. Definetly one of the more experimental track and it payed of so well. I can only describe it as; Badass, insane and completly sticks out from the entire soundtrack. It's funny to think about it, a mostly religously themed game with an asian/japanese style, starts and ends with a rock/metal song. Way to put the devil into music itself. Only 2 more songs I want to talk about, you are almost through. Good job so far. Auron's theme. To be fair FFX plot is sometimes a little all over the place and that's why Auron's farewell took me off-guard the first time, but the way this song plays along his last moments just sets his legacy as best character in FFX in stone. Beautiful yet simple. Fleeting dream. This is my favorite track out of all FF. Everything just perfectly works. The mood, the timing, just perfect. The moment when Tidus sees Zanakand again after everything happend. This music slowly starts while you walk down only to see Zanakand in ruins. This piece just amplyfies the drege of this place and the mood is never broken because this track continous even in fights. Ugh I just love the way this is build in. Overall: It never fails to entertain me, even if FFX is not the best game. Author's note:I am not good at english, please don't kill me :c
