kit's mom is samantha's contemporary! she's old enough to have a son who was college bound in 1932, she looks fabulous and probably married young, as was the style at the time. she's probably 40, max. idk i just think it'd be interesting to know how similar her upbringing was to samantha's. and also how is sam faring during the depression? for my sake i'm assuming she's doing alright and the depression didn't hit her family hard

After three days, I have finished my attempt at recreating Samantha’s New York City school uniform from Samantha: An American Girl Holiday (2004).

For the dress, I used the Simplicity 7998 sewing patterns (dress D). I couldn’t find the correct color of plaid fabric, so I just picked up a flannel shirt from Walmart to cut up and called that close enough.

The pinafore in the picture is from Samantha’s play dress and pinafore outfit, but maybe I’ll make one specifically to go with this outfit at some point.

Spent a little while yesterday filling my collection of tiny jars I’ve accumulated over the last couple years :)

The kitchen is also ofc unfinished lol, the dollhouse feels neverending project filled, all requiring ample time and money, but occasionally a small amount of effort makes a big difference!!!

My girl Theo ofc had to have a small kitchen photoshoot to celebrate the improved state of the kitchen and her new dress~

Eventually I gotta do something about that shiny ass ceiling….
