talking abt wips is a little hard bc i have a mindset sometimes where its like something is only a wip for as long as im actively working on it and the only things im actively working on rn are comms and work stuff hrmmmm.....

okay this is probably just recency bias talking lol but ive been having a lot of fun in my quiet time drawing out more prop/enviroment based stuff. I wouldnt consider any of them final so i guess theyre wips but I like how ive been getting to practice rendering out different in a lot of them like the one below, its a bit theraputic. I also get to make up fun lore descriptions hehe

34 - whats something you still like from your old art?

looking back on a lot of it i feel like two things im fond of i dont do as much these days. One is i think i was much more heavily stylised before than i am now esp in terms of form and shape language. I let myself be quite fluid with gesture

I also think i used a lot more pure black figure blocking + shading back then than i do now, probably bc i was on my soejima kick lol. Its something I still do it sometimes though! can make a shadow look real stylish

i think both things worked hand in hand with eachother pretty well. There was a nice kind of graphic element to it when they both came together

nobody is faking POTS, fibromyalgia or ME/CFS for attention because nobody gives a fuck if you have POTS, fibromyalgia or ME/CFS. these are three conditions people are always accused of faking online (largely because they’re common chronic illnesses and young women are disproportionately effected by them 😃) and it’s like…..look around bitch. when was the last time you saw a fund for a cure CFS walkathon? you ever see a Google banner for fibromyalgia? these are illnesses that suck to have and that you are often treated like absolute dogshit by the medical community and pop culture at large if you do have them. you don’t get positive attention, or any attention at all, if you’re at home laying down 85% of your life.
