To my white followers:
If you understand that as a white person one of the things you can do to deconstruct racism is to talk about it with other white people, you need to do that with white people who don’t already get this stuff. That means talking to other shittier white people.
It also means listening to them and understanding where they’re coming from. That doesn’t make where they’re coming from right, but it means your “gotcha” arguments have to work for them, not just score points with your liberal buddies at the cost of actually educating someone.
As white people, we have the privilege of being able to listen to someone say shitty racist things without it being damaging or traumatizing to us. Use that. Listen to black voices and let them guide you - but also listen to the people you’re fighting, if only so you know how to convert them.
Also Black Lives Matter, donate to Reclaim the Block and bail funds, and remember that this is about protecting black lives, not your personal issues with authority.
That’s all for now. Love you all, take care of each other.

I never post but here's something that I think the US and the Philippines can agree on
❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗
ACTIVISM =/= TERROSISM
❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗
The Philippines is attempting to pass a bill that would basically take away the people's right to freedom of speech, among others. It would:
Allow the state and its forces to determine what constitutes the definition of terrorism
Let state institutions act by any suspicion against people that they deem a threat, as if that alone is enough basis for being counted as a terrorist
Wiretap for 60-90 days
Carry out WARRANTLESS ARRESTS
And basically allow the government to kill anyone who criticizes them or opposes them, labeling those people, who are just stating their opinions, as TERRORISTS
Here's he summary of the bill:
And here is what supposedly constitutes as "terrorism"
Please please PLEASE do not let ("president") Duterte have this. This is is basically Martial Law without the label. Everything will be under the government's control. Our voices will be squandered by this bill. We're having so much problems, from poverty to Covid-19, and our government would very much rather focus on THIS BULL$#!T instead of people STARVING AND DYING ON THE STREETS
ACTIVISM ≠ TERRORISM 📢📣📢
BLACK LIVES MATTER ✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿
LGBTQ+ LIVES MATTER 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
AND PLEASE ALL STAY SAFE FROM THE GLOBAL FRIGGIN PANDEMIC 😷😷

Fresh list of organizations that need funding after this week
A lot of the lists on tumblr have been circulating all week and some of the organizations have taken in as much as they can use with the size/scope of their mission. I signed up to the excellent Reclaim the Block and they just posted this list on their facebook.

What just happened on CNN? Im at work and so wasn’t somewhere I could watch
Sure I’ll sum up.
So there was a very good peaceful protest by.... Lafayette Park? Right outside the White House. They were chanting, they had multiple reporters in the crowd, it was fucking CHILL, people were waiting for Trump to do a speech in the Rose Garden.
Then, out of nowhere, truly NOWHERE, the cops closed in from three directions and threw gas into the crowd. They used rubber bullets on the crowd IMMEDIATELY. One dude told the reporter “They don’t care about new, move.” They drove out the totally fucking peaceful, pre-curfew protestors.
They moved them all out, and Trump started speaking, and you could hear the fucking gas going off over his speech. CNN fucking did a splitscreen to show the peopple being shoved back as the motherfucker stood up there and said he would protect our rights and would mobilize the military against people.
Then back to the reporters, and everyone was forced further and further away. One woman on a bike told the reporter “They are getting the water cannons ready, you wanna move.”
TURNS OUT.
ALL OF THIS.
WAS BECAUSE TRUMP WANTED A PHOTO OP AT THE CHURCH ACROSS THE STREET. HE WANTED THEM OUT OF THE WAY SO HE COULD STAND WITH A BIBLE IN FRONT OF A CHURCH.
Even CNN is calling him a dictator, at 7PM.
Then the Illinois governor came out and called him a racist, xenophobic, misogynistic failure.
