Sorry I haven't posted anything since Scoretober, I've been really busy with everything this month. Tbh, I could probably use some help running this blog. So if anyone is interested, feel free to message me!

This sounds like something straight out of a video game soundtrack (a good one, at that), specifically in a spooky level or cutscene. You conveyed the theme very well.

Scoretober, long prompt: abandoned mansions

title: hollow halls

instrumentation: a lot of strings and probably more col legno than anyone wants to play

let me be real with you guys, probably 80% of this was written today and this is still very much a draft as far as I’m concerned. but it has an idea, a beginning, middle, end, melody, harmony, bass line, and even some nice decorations, and if I do decide to update this, you’ll be the first to know!

I have been making a concerted effort to change my writing process from paper, pencil, and Finale to keyboard and DAW. for this one, it was still hard to not have all the harmonies clearly visible, but I finally feel like it reflects my normal writing style.

Aaaaaa I got excited for scoretober and couldn't wait. I started writing variations on spooky scary skeletons and now my neck hurts because I haven't moved in 3 hours
