A Guide to CLAT 2023
Welcome to CLAT 2023
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs offered by 22 National Law Universities in India. CLAT is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities, comprising representative universities. Several affiliate universities and organizations also use the CLAT exam for admissions and recruitment respectively. All admissions to the 5-year integrated LL.B. and LL.M. programs that commence in the Academic Year 2023-2024 shall be through the CLAT 2023.

CLAT 2023 Exam Date
Under Graduate Eligibility 2023
1. There will be no maximum age for applicants to the UG Program through the CLAT 2023.
2. Candidates must receive at least the following proportion of points in their qualifying exam (10+2 or a test of a comparable level):
• 45 percent of the available points, or its equivalent grade, for applicants who fall under the General, OBC, PWD, NRI, PIO, or OCI categories.
• 40% of the total possible points (or the equivalent) for applicants who fall under the SC/ST category.
3. Candidates who might take their qualifying exam in March or April 2023 are also qualified to take the CLAT 2023 exam. At the time of admission, students will need to present proof that they passed the qualifying exam; otherwise, they will not be eligible to be considered for admission.
4. The candidate must provide their qualifying examination (10+2) score at the time of admission; otherwise, they will not be admitted to the programme for which they may have applied.
5. If many candidates receive an equal number of marks on the CLAT 2023, the following procedure and order will be used to break the tie:
• A higher score on the CLAT 2023 exam's Legal Aptitude component or part; a higher age; and computerised lotteries.
Introduction About UG-CLAT 2023
The UG-CLAT 2023 would concentrate on assessing applicants' comprehension and reasoning skills. Though occasionally past information may be helpful to reply to questions in the Current Affairs section, overall, it is designed to be a test of aptitude and skills necessary for a legal education rather than prior knowledge.
The UG-CLAT 2023 will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions, each worth one mark, and will last two hours. For each incorrect response, 0.25 marks will be deducted from the final score. The following 5 topics would each receive an own set of questions:
• English Language
• Current Affairs, including General Knowledge
• Legal Reasoning
• Logical Reasoning
• Quantitative Techniques
Tips for UG-CLAT 2023
The Consortium intends to release a variety of UG-CLAT 2023 preparation materials, such as:
• guides for the test and practise questions;
• sample test questions; and
• For each of the subjects that make up the UG-CLAT 2023, there are study guides and exercises.
Candidates who successfully complete their application to the UG-CLAT 2023 will also receive access from the Consortium to a learning platform where they may access the above-mentioned study resources as well as their performance on various exercises and sample test questions.
Application Fees Structure for UG – CLAT 2023
1. The only way to pay application costs is online.
2. Application fee: Rs. 4,000 for general, OBC, PWD, NRI, PIO, and OCI applicants.
3. Candidates from the SC, ST, and BPL categories must pay a fee of Rs. 3,500.
4. The price of prior exam questions is Rs. 500 (this is separate from the CLAT 2023 application fee of Rs. 4,000 or Rs. 3,500, as applicable).
5. The bank transaction fees for making the payment online must be covered by the candidates themselves. Following the candidates' selection of the payment method, the actual bank transaction fees will be shown on the payment gateway page.
6. Application fees cannot be reimbursed.

Useful Beginner's Guide to the AFCAT Exams' Structure and Preparation Advice
Airforce Exams
The IAF administers the AFCAT, or Air Force Common Admission Test, to choose Class-I Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical). The exam is given twice a year, in February and, correspondingly, in August/September. Many applicants to the Air Force Academy take the AFCAT, one of the most competitive defense exams. Candidates must thoroughly prepare for the AFCAT exam by studying the exam format, syllabus, previous year's test questions, and sample exams.
The Indian Air Force offers both Permanent Commission/Short Service Commissions in Ground Duties for both Technical and Non-Technical jobs as well as Short Service Commissions in Flying Branch to both male and female applicants.
AFCAT Exams: Types of Commission
The AFCAT exam is given for the following two categories of commissions:
Men's Permanent Commission (PC): Candidates who enrol as PC officers will serve in their respective branches according to their rank until they reach retirement age.
Men's and women's Short Service Commission (SSC)
For Flying Branch (Men and Women) SSC Officers, the engagement duration is 14 years from the date of commissioning (non-extendable)
For Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) SSC Officers, the initial term of employment is ten years. In accordance with the service criteria, the number of openings, the applicant's aptitude, willingness, and eligibility, a four-year extension may be granted.
Grant of Permanent Commission (PC) is taken into consideration during the final year of service, subject to service requirements, the presence of openings, and the candidates' aptitude, willingness, and fitness.
