I know I've been quiet on here, but life has been hectic and weird. Updates! - spent nearly 8 weeks very poorly in hospital, am now much better - finishing uni soon, panicking - in two weeks time we are picking up our girl, Luna! We've wanted a puppy for a long time, and after many discussions about rescues and breeders and breeds and when we should do this, we decided this is the best thing for us now. She's a golden retriever/labrador mix, with her mum being an assistance dog for her owner. She'll eventually become my companion/assistance dog, but for now she's our baby girl - she's met us and both her owners agreed she is pretty smitten, as are we! Tom and I can't wait to bring her home, we are so happy and excited :)

Still getting used to this ventilator 'machine breathing for me' business. Still trying to process that my health may have reached a point where I am what I consider 'sick'. Still trying to process all the possible outcomes. I'll get there. I am a fighter, I can overcome anything. I will not be another sad story. I will be okay, in the end.

The friend saga continues! I met all of her friends last night and everyone was so welcoming and lovely and kept hugging me and saying how nice I was and I'm just ?????? I'm so happy, I forgot what it was like.

I’ll never not be amused by the fact that I can drop the words “crucifix nail nipples” into a conversation and some of you who have been with me since the livejournal days will join me in the flashbacks, screaming and crying all the way.
