I’m gonna throw up bc sasuke intentionally didn’t get close to people so he never risked having a best friend so he didn’t have to kill them and that’s why he pushes EVERYONE AWAY and if it wasn’t for that he would’ve played with them but naruto. Fucking naruto had to be the one to be kind to him, to touch his heart, to be his friend. Sasuke slowly watched the crash happen before him and was powerless to stop it because maybe he didn’t want to. Maybe he could be Naruto’s friend and it would be fine. He was willing to risk it. But then itachi came and reminded him of the cruel reality and sasuke became angry. Angry at itachi for ruining everything, angry at himself for being weak and letting someone in, angry at naruto for holding his heart gently in his hand and not seeing the barbs. So he reacted, lashed out. Pushed everyone away, pushed naruto away because if he doesn’t have a best friend he’ll never have to kill them. But fucking naruto just won’t give up and it pisses sasuke off. Doesn’t he understand? (No he doesn’t) he’d stop if he knew (no he wouldn’t) and it’s just a fucking tragedy got naruto is ruining my life sasuke is ruining my LIFE
