every once on a while I remember Nick Von’ar, my crusader OC exists and then I remember he was trapped somewhere for literal years in a prison and then the first thing he did when he was found is beside being very confused probably have trouble communicating oh and the fact he probably killed a few people.

that was truly comical ;  if parker truly thought that he needed a help of an intern, smart as he was or not, then he was delusional. ❝ is that truly what you think? that i needed your help to get this far? my poor delusional boy. ❞ he scolded, dismissing his claims of being invaluable to the progression of the tech he used. he didn’t need help to finish his work. granted, it was nice, but truly unnecessary. 

❝ you are replaceable. there are so many other bright minds that could have done what you did and i could have done it with, or without, your help. ❞ it may have taken longer to work out the kinks but he’d have gotten there in the end. arms moved him forward, taking a ‘step’ closer to parker. ❝ if you want to stay on this side of the line, then i highly suggest that you learn your place. ❞ voice dropped, his one and only warning.

parker knew that he had done a fair amount and assisted greatly. it may not have been much, but it would have taken far longer and truly, it was more about the credit. that was what parker was after and while it was a dangerous path to go down? it was not was dangerous as the one he currently was on. 

as the other moved forward, there was a urge to be bold, but parker knew it was not the time nor the place for it. nor would it help matters. all it would end up doing was make things complicated. far more than it was already. 

it was better to back down, if he was smart. 

in most cases, parker was not. maybe it was just cockiness or he normally didn’t care, but this was another case entirely. he knew fully well that while there were lines to cross, it was best to take a careful route. careful, calm and more importantly, one that would he’d hate.

even now, obedience was something that was entirely difficult to come by. there was no end all bit to the situation, but rather it was a necessary evil. one that will, with no doubt be expected to be done over and over again. a small price to pay, but one that was worth it. (he thought at least).

breath was sucked in and body tensed. just because he decided to do this, didn’t mean that it would be easy. getting his body to follow suit was far more difficult than expected. he then let the deep breath escape him.

yet, it would be all done the same was slowly, perhaps a bit slower than parker had want the tenseness mostly faded from his body. breathing even became a bit more shallow. a mistake? maybe.  it was  far too late for any change of pace now as eyes closed tightly for several moments, he prepared to speak. something that he truly knew could either go one of two ways - he hoped it would be received well, but even he didn’t know at this rate.

“my mistake,” for even mentioning it, but he allowed that to go unsaid,  “forgive me.” far better than simply saying that he was sorry and yet... he knew it still wouldn’t do much in the long run. “you’re right though. about all if it.” about what he was - not about what he’d done. he wouldn’t go that far verbally, however. 

“i couldn’t go back now, anyways.” a truth, which he ended on.

I’ll be back here eventually, but I only have the energy and spoons to focus one blog currently. I am burnt out from everything and I will have an operation sometime this year (or two, operations that is), but the major one will be on my right arm. So, I will either on discord ( Infamous Iron Man#5176 ) or ofthescrolls, my Elder Scrolls Multi-Muse.
