((OOC. Again. Hiatus notice, kinda. I’m sick, and I’m about to move between cities, and it’s gonna be a mess, and to top it all off I’m not feeling very Lúcio lately. I’m gonna continue playing him on Discord because those are quicker replies and I don’t have to worry about being on pc instead of mobile. I’m not sure when I’ll return here, but my best guess is within a month after I at least finish moving.
You guys are amazing and I love roleplaying with you. There’s just too much right now though. I hope you understand.
My IMs are still open for chatting though, as always!))

could you like or reblog this if you’re okay with late replies to roleplay threads / asks / etc.?
by late, it means anywhere between 1 day to 1 year. because i know some people prefer writing and replying on the spot, but i’m also sure lots of peeps struggle with that for various reasons, and threads get dropped because their partner has long lost interest or something, which can be very discouraging. so i hope we can all be understanding here!

pnkrabbit:
“They were wonderful people.. And I do agree. They raised me to the best of my abilities and made sure I was prepared for what life could bring.” She appreciated the reassurance of his gentle movements and the general upbeat behavior he tried to have going on for her.
“Eh. I can’t really cook. I never really learned. My mother just allowed me to do small things to help out as well as be her little taste tester.” Hana gave a soft giggle at the phrase that her mom used for how she would “help” in the kitchen.
Upon having him kiss her temple, she turned and hugged him close. She buried her face in his neck. “… Thank you for being so understanding… You’re more than I could’ve hoped for..
“Alright, so I really gotta learn how to cook now!” He smirked. “Gotta keep you well fed, right? I’ll never be as good as your mom, but I’ll try my best--” He kept petting her, trying his best to comfort her.
“Hey now...” His arms wrapped around her as she buried her face in his neck. “I’m no more than what you deserve. Come on Bunny... you’re great, you know that right?”

Lúcio noticed the wave at him. Curious, he thought, that he’d be in such a peaceful situation with a member of the Vishkar - a former member, he corrected himself.
Well, he’d never been one to look for a fight without reason anyway.
He waved back, with a small smile, but was soon crowded again. There was something about him - his people would call it malandragem, the way of the streets, that little witty charming smartness that somehow found a way around things. And so around it he was, subtly smiling his way out of the crowd after sweet words and sunny expressions, until he managed to sneak away into the corners of the party.
“Miss Vaswani”, he said a little low as he reached her, curious about how she’d be right now, such a fish out of the water. “Are you enjoying yourself so far?”
❖ - Again. He expressed so much hope, even for those who have wandered far too deep to be redeemed. But then again: who was she to talk? Satya had probably walked the same path and Lucio perhaps even thought the same about her. Hypocritical of her, true. But his naivety and desire to see good in everyone would eventually do more good than harm. Her lessons would serve no good, he had to see it for himself.
As he left, Satya smiled to herself. ’Welcome aboard,’ she repeated. What an interesting turn of events.
                                                                      ❖❖❖
She was there, as promised. The speech had been delivered without any interruptions that would have caused her mood to drop. As her fears and discomfort disappeared, she decided to step out of her shell as well. The party she was invited to was not meant to be big; people celebrated on the streets on their own, among their families, or simply studying their new limbs and the ’elite’, who honestly put effort to improve the lives of the civilians, had gathered there. Satya, however, was not surprised to see that some of the townsfolk had arrived too, but much to her delight, it was still quiet around her and the music was, in fact, soothing and enjoyable.
She’d changed her clothes. To fit more in, of course; her knee-length dress was of pale blue color, a delightful contrast to her skin, and it was adorned with golden flowers. Her hair, as usual, was left loose and it fell on her back like a dark waterfall. The only accessories she wore were the blue earrings attached to her earmuffs.
Lucio was there, of course. It was hard not to notice him as he was always at the center of attention and everyone was eager to speak with him. Lazily, the architect greeted the young celebrity with a slow wave. As of now, no one showed any interest in approaching her, and so she used the moment to get herself a glass of water.

He nodded. “There is interest behind some actions. There is also good in some people who are part of not so good organizations.” It could be hard at times, but Lúcio would always try to see everyone’s sides on things. “Pure evil is a thing of old Disney Movies. I doubt that everyone in Vishkar is rotten. It’s highly likely that the people who found you and taught you were good people. Vishkar is huge. But one powerful and greedy and heartless person inside it is enough to make a huge impact, that’s why no organization should be allowed so much control over people’s lives like they were trying in Rio.”
“Yeah, let’s hope. Alright, Vaswani, I’ll see you sometime.” He straightened from the wall he’d been leaning on, and started walking back out before he paused. “Welcome aboard, by the way.” He left, then.
❖-❖-❖-❖
He’d been invited, of course. He didn’t think there would be a party that night, but of course there was - everything was a reason for a party, right? And there was no party at this little corner of the world that wouldn’t invite him.
Thankfully, it was nothing formal, simply a celebration of the most recent additions of social workers and volunteers in the neighborhood. When he’d said he’d see her again, he hadn’t thought it would have been so soon. No trouble there though, he thought.
He dressed cool, but nice. Nothing that would feel out of place, but new and clean and fitting his usual style. And then he went in, getting somewhat crowded as soon as he arrived.
❖ - Satya shrugged, a small smile playing on her lips. This was something Lucio would probably never understand and she did not plan on wasting time explaining the idea behind it all. To her, this kind of upbringing was still part of her daily life and some habits die hard. “Vishkar… they saved me.“ And additionally her family was spared from rough lives and her education was compensated. The memories of her childhood were far from pleasant. She’d been picked up from the streets by one of the employees who saw the potential in her. In the beginning, it made no sense to Satya, but as she grew and was taught how to control her ability, her life found a purpose.
At a price, yes, but in the end, it was worth it.Of course, there was no connection between her and the rest of the Vaswani family. Once she’d been given away, they were seemingly satisfied with the economic help to care for their child.
And honestly: she did not blame them.
❖- Her eyebrows furrowed slightly at his eagerness. Although his chivalry was noteworthy and it warmed her heart to know that there was someone who was willing to fight for her, Lucio seemed to ignore the fact that people learned from their mistakes. Vishkar was no different. They studied everything and improved themselves daily.
“Let’s just hope it won’t come to this.“ With these words, Satya took a final sip of her tea and the cup disappeared into the thin air. “We’ve got not much time left. I need to take the boxes to the backstage so they can be delivered to people. I assume you are expected somewhere else by now, no?“

south-dragon-hanzo:
It never ceased to amaze the mercenary how often his clients, with their lives balancing on the edge of a knife tried to make sense of chaos and confusion. “Vishkar! We move now!” Hanzo shouted.
The archer raised his head; their seemed to be a struggle occuring where the initial shot was fired from. Little thought was made into making sure the DJ was comfortable; he was sure that alive was preferable to dead and comfortable. Taking the young man by the scruff of his neck, he hauled Lucio up to his feet. His body was flush to the darker man’s, trying to cover as much as he could while running off the stage with him.
“Distraction unit, leave with the decoy!” Hanzo shouted into his comms device while dashing for an opposing security tunnel.
Lúcio tried his best to follow Hanzo’s every lead - and to avoid panicking. He could deal with being hurt, but this situation put thousands of innocents - his fans - in danger too.
There was no complaint on the rough treatment. Lúcio understood the need for hurry. He ran - or actually slid on his roller blades - with his bodyguard, making himself small so he could be covered. It felt strange to have a human shield, but he understood that he’d only be making Hanzo’s job worse if he didn’t go with that.
The - decoy. Oh damn. God, please let him be safe, please don’t let someone else die for me.

“How were you able to breathe?” He asked after she explained how she was raised - and he was only half joking. “You mean, that since you were a kid? I... hope you’ve always liked things neat and tidy, and they didn’t just brainwash you...”
He watched her as she mentioned them. Them. It felt like a confession to him. Something in between resignation and exhaustion.
“Let them come if they want.” He said without hesitation. “If you really wanna be one of us... Then I’ll fight them off again.” He crossed his arms, looking straight into her eyes from the other side of the small room. “Nobody’s touching any one of us again.”
❖ - She almost rolled her eyes, but then gave a reluctant nod. There was no point in arguing against the truth. Vishkar almost did enslave his people like they were nothing more than simple animals and she felt endlessly sorry for that. Again, this was an opportunity right now she did not want to waste. She’d gone a lot already. And in the end, if she’d falter and return to her previous ways, would Vishkar even accept her? They’d never trust her the way they did before.
Satya’s nails drummed against the warm surface. “I… yes.” Again, no point in arguing. She was really a pain in the ass when it came down to that. The architect had no idea how to relax and when she claimed she did so, the form of studying or creating new things during her spare time did not count as much. “I was raised in a professional environment,” she explained. Everything was orderly and strict under Vishkar’s guidance. Laughing in the wrong place at the wrong time would earn a disapproval. A poor way of taking someone’s childhood, but at the same time, it also taught how to behave.
She closed her eyes and rested her back against the wall. Unlike the heated temperature of Rio, the surface was cool. “They will be here. I have no doubt,” she muttered. Her former coworkers had always attended her speeches and later tried to communicate with her. Would they tire eventually, though? Or, knowing their persistence, they’d attempt to manipulate her in more direct manners?

pnkrabbit:
“Well sometimes things that aren’t meant to catch fire do.. The fire likes dry materials and burns through them quite easily. Oil will also cause the fire to grow much bigger..” Hana waved off the matter quite literally. “It comes down to accidents happen sometimes..”
“A sailor is what I would consider myself to be. Sure I’m a sailor of a pirate category but basically it means I’m someone who… Uses boats to move across the water. To travel.”
Hana was a bit surprised by his sudden touch to the thin, loose cloth of her sleeves. She arched a brow. “.. You like it?? It’s kind of dirty..”
“And it just goes on and grows? Sounds dangerous...” He frowned, then shrugged.
“Boats are those large things made of bark that float over water, I’m guessing?” He eyed curiously. “So you travel lots of places?”
His eyes fell back to her whatever-that-was. “What is it? It’s not part of your body, is it?”

south-dragon-hanzo:
Hanzo nodded. He took a watchful spot near the side of the stage. His guitar case was close at hand but he patted his side under the jacket he wore to confirm the pistol was holstered there. “All personnel, secure entry ways.” The archer said into the comms device he had on.
The first set of the show seemed to go off easily enough. Nothing seemed to be amiss but he knew better than to act as if the job was to be easy. The archer was doing around behind the stage before noticing something a miss with the a set of lights above. They did not move, not in time with the music anyway like the others were.
Before he could dispatch someone, there seemed to be a sudden glow of blue from the walkway. He did not waste time as something seemed to be launched towards the stage. Wasting no time, Hanzo ran back to the stage to yank Lucio away from his gear. “Move!” He shouted over the surprised crowd.
Lúcio could never have noticed that. Lost in a music trance, he was scared to no end when he was yanked away.
There was a half second that he meant to struggle, before he’d registered it had been Hanzo’s voice. Almost toppling over, he looked to check it was actually his bodyguard pulling him, and allowed himself to be manhandled, trying to stay in some kind of a crouch. “What? What happenned?” He tried to shout over the sound of the crowd that was now noiser than usual.
