I just realized that The Marvels is one of the few times that we see a hero half-wearing their suit, particularly for female heros. And we see that underneath her suit, she is just wearing a tank top. I just think that considering how many questions female actors get about what they are wearing under their super suits, it is so nice to see it emphasized that they just wear something normal.

I think a part of Carol knew that Maria and Monica had gone on living when they thought she was dead, so on some level thought they would be fine without her.

And on some level she knew that she wasn’t the same Carol they knew before, she still doesn’t have her memories and was turned into a weapon of war and was literally brainwashed into being someone she wasn’t.

I think it was difficult enough for her to put herself out there for Maria and Monica to accept, and then when the Anilator became a part of who she was, it was just too much.

How was she supposed to help raise a kid when her example caused the death and war of so many?

So she had to be the hero and had to be the best example there was and couldn’t go back before then.

Of course what she didn’t realize was that Maria and Monica could have helped her. They could have been the calming and rationale voice to help her be more like the person she once was and help her with the Kree.

The movie even makes this clear by having Monica be the one who thinks of the idea of how to restart the Sun for the Kree to finally fix things.

Carol just had to learn to trust again.

Which of course where having Kamala along building a team with Monica was what really helped Carol be the best version of herself. The Kree brainwashed and gaslit Carol for years, it’s understandable that she wouldn’t trust again, but it took a optimistic fan girl and someone she deeply cared about to finally convince her to do what she should’ve done a long time ago: come home.

So I open Instagram and the new Echo promo comes up and these are the top comments??? This is insanity. The Marvels and She-Hulk have people crying as soon as they see a woman in Marvel.

What does this comment even mean? Do people want a Marvel show about the daily routines of a housewife or something? Ofc the show is about a strong character, it's a superhero show. Wth.
