 Korra is just barely around the corner of the closest building structure when the blast threatens to singe a ponytail straight off her head. She tumbles forward in a barrel roll but gets knocked back down shortly after rolling back on her feet.

Shielding herself from the impact of the explosion in front of her, she looks behind her and estimates the distance between herself and P’li, then goes for an attack, shooting a streak of fire at the combustion-bender.

"—Rngh!"

She was almost like the earth itself, her feet solidly firm above the ground. And clearly she could make out the ball of flame heading in her direction, but she was persistent-- sending yet another blast to counteract the one she had just thrown in her direction.

There was deafening bang when the two collided, creating a cloud of dust smoke and debris. This gave her the liberty to move about as she pleased without being discovered-- at least for a minute or two before the Avatar cleared the air before them.
