rewatching twin peaks after reading my life my tapes is such an experience. like every time i see cooper it's like buddy you are a circus reject with a dead mom and kinks i don't even want to discuss WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE

trying to imagine how Cooper got from Philadelphia to Twin Peaks, Washington by 11:40 AM and I'm envisioning it like a 50s/60s style cartoon. Harry calls the Bureau and reports the crime in indistinct Animal Crossing chatter. The information is passed through multiple offices in the same way until the final secretary dutifully shouts it into Gordon's ear (LOUD Animal Crossing chatter). Gordon yanks Cooper out of bed with a big shepherd's crook like it's a stage musical comedy piece (his little night cap flies off), then pushes him offscreen so fast all that's left is a Loony Toons puff of dust. Cut to a cartoon airplane chugging across a map of the continental United States; it is panting and has Xs for eyes by the time it touches down on the west coast.
