Working on an illustration for the newest chapter of “Shadows in Runrick”, and  I really like how it looks as an work-in-progress so I thought I’d share it like this too.

Action scenes are still difficult for me; I never know if I get the motion/impact/etc right.

Haven’t published anything in ages here so : here’s a scene from my novel that’s getting published on tapas.io. It’s not one of the inserted illustrations, but really wanted to draw these two as kids.

And here we have Nelle, second protagonist from “Shadows in Runrick” in what are possibly the ugliest clothes I have ever drawn.

I will definitely look up references next time a draw a jacket suit.

Though wearing unflattering clothes with a straight face sorta fits her character.

Insert image for my story I plan to submit to Tapas. Here, Luric looks a little closer to how I’m imagining him in my head, but I’m still not quite there. Also, he’s not supposed to be this small and thin (he didn’t look like that on paper, before I scanned it.)

 I’ve finally decided on a title: ‘Shadows in Runrick’ or ‘The Shadows in Runrick’.  I haven’t decided on that. I’ll probably flip a coin right at the last minute. 

Genre is fantasy/ young adult fantasy ( though I’m not convinced about ‘the young adult’ part), action-adventure with elements of horror, and some humor. Similar in style to what Custode is supposed to be, though this one takes place in a alternative universe with an Victorian era feel to it.

So, in case you haven’t notice, my webcomic Custode is kind of on hiatus.Long story short, my back pain keeps me from drawing as much as I’d like, and I have no work space on which to draw properly for a while :(

In the mean time, I’ve been writing to let out some creative frustration and I’m kinda please with the story so far. Might even give this  submission thing on tapas a try.  The fellow above is the main character. I’m calling him Luric. Not exactly how I’m envisioning him in my head, but close enough.

I have another written story that I’ve been working on here and there since summer, but that was shaping up to be a far more ambitious piece of fiction, so I’m putting that on the back burner until I feel ready to tackle it again. Luric’s story is a little easier to write.

Quick drawing of a new character that I haven’t yet introduced in Custode. I just couldn’t get her design right for the longest time, finally settled on one I’m kinda pleased with.

Taking a break from working on a particularly difficult page from Custode to draw something that has always brought me joy. Heroine, second protagonist, side character..... it honestly doesn’t matter to me, she is a fun, enjoyable character that was one of the main reasons I liked Bleach as much as I did. 

I kinda think that the that statement  didn’t mean to diminish Rukia’s role, but was more along the lines of heroine= love interest. I don’t agree with correlating heroine with main character’s love interest, but that is another, long and complicated conversation.

Bleach novels

Apparently one of the novels will contain some information regarding the 4 noble families of the Seireitei. Man, I’ve been waiting for YEARS to find out more about them. I thought Hisagi was an odd choice, but I’m all for more information about him, maybe have a Bankai thrown in there too :D. 

I have more or less warmed up to the idea of RenRuki, so I’ll check out the supposed “wedding” novel too, if only because I hope to see a little of the Kuchiki siblings. (I mean, it’s Rukia’s wedding, Byakuya has to make an appearance,right? ) Though if they had to choose a story about these two, I would have preferred for it to be after Ichika was born, because I really wanted to see Byakuya as an uncle.

All in all, I’m happy to get more content featuring the Shinigami, even if it will be in the form of a fan translated summary. We might even get some sketches from Kubo too.

Quick concept art for a character from a story I might write. I prefer to tell my stories as comics, but I can’t draw two at once . Custode is pretty demanding .  But I am also really impatient and I want try my hand at prose. 

This is a main character, her name is Eliz.

Did something to go with the Halloween theme sorta, but it was mostly due to Little Witch Academia.
