27th April skills progression
This week i tried to improve my timing by playing along with a metronome. I also tried to get a good guitar tone by messing around with an amp sim.

I messed around with lots of different reverbs, delays and amps to try to get a guitar tone that i like, although i prefer the sound from an actual amp. I learned a lot about EQ, compression, amp settings and effects like delay and reverb (the image i used was the only one i had on my pc for some reason)
Some videos that i used:

6th April Skills Progression
This week i focused on improving lead guitar. I learned a new position for the minor pentatonic and tried to improvise a lead guitar part using the 2 blues scales i knew. I also wrote a bridge for the song i am working on.

30th March Skills progression
I focused mostly on music production this week, although I started to also learn a new blues scale position and began saying notes out loud as I played them to learn the fretboard.
youtube
I started with structuring the song, although I ended up changing it a lot. Then I programmed a rough drum beat to use in place of a metronome and began recording the bass. I recorded some chords over that and wrote a melody to go over it. All the instruments are currently just guide tracks and will be re-recorded when I have a more solid structure.
Next I plan to go into a bridge section.
