Leave Ewan alone? His acting is great, Aemond is not very expressive, he is not Aegon, so what is he supposed to do, overact? And he had less than ten minutes of screentime this season. Also he literally said Aemond is 'deliciously evil' and 'complex villain', he doesn't pretend anything.

Aemond is not very expressive, but 89% of the time he looks like he has just pissed into a public pool and he gets off the knowledge that others are swimming in his kidney juice. He's got roughly the same screentime as Aegon, and when you compare TGC and EM, TGC is completely owning him in terms of acting skills.

A "complex vilain" is kinda stretching it. A villain with a complex Aemond is (Oedipus and inferiority complex come to mind), but complex he is not. He's just an asshole who got the biggest gun and the truck on the block so he thinks he's the boss now and he needs to let everyone know he's peepee is NOT small!

Sorry, but I've met assholes like him a dozen times and there are people calling casu sardu delicious too, so Ewan's opinion is kinda moot, since he refuses to really study his chareacter.
