Honey Bones, Grey Lynn
Drink pictured: Oat flat white ($6.5).
I used to live down the road from this cafe in 2018 and go there more regularly. I don't make it to Grey Lynn as much anymore but I'm was glad to see the cafe is still going strong! They use beans from Coffee Supreme. It's a smaller cafe, but they have seats both inside and outdoors, and if you go the weekends they are usually packed!

Red Rabbit Coffee Cafe and Roastery, Grey Lynn
Drinks pictured: Iced oat flat white ($8) and long black.
Went to the Red Rabbit Cafe and Roastery in Grey Lynn. I had an iced oat flat white and my friend had a long black. My coffee was yum! It's a large space with mostly indoor and some outdoor seating. They do cabinet food but also have a small menu for you to choose from. They also have beans available for you to buy for home coffee!

Benedict's, Eden Terrace
Drink pictured: Oat flat white ($6.5), hot chocolate ($5.7), iced americano ($6.2), mango yakult special ($4), iced matcha latte ($8.5), and a berry smoothie ($10.5).
Went back to Benedict's in Eden Terrace after a loooong time! They use beans from Flight Coffee. The cafe always looks very small when you arrive but they have lots of seating upstairs! They have outside seating too, both upstairs and downstairs. I like their blue seats outside, and also the cute coffee cup plushie they had on display at the entrance.

Dear Deer Coffee Roasting Bar, Ellerslie
Drinks pictured: Oat iced latte ($7.5) and single origin filter.
Went to Dear Deer Coffee Roasting Bar's spot in Ellerslie. I have been to their Newmarket spot a few years ago and they have 3 other locations as well. I had an iced oat latte and my friend tried the single origin filter coffee. You place your order by using a screen and they have some seats inside and a few more outside. They also roast their own beans and have a whoooole bunch for you to choose from to take home as well!

Blackdrop Eatery, Newmarket
Drinks pictured: Iced oat matcha latte and hot chocolate.
Back to Auckland cafes! I have been to Blackdrop Eatery in Newmarket a few times for coffee, but I knew they are also popular for their matcha. So I tried an oat iced matcha latte a few weeks ago, which lived up to the hype! Keen to go back to try a hot matcha also. My partner had a hot chocolate which he said was also really good!

Mat's Coffee, Whitianga (Coromandel)
Drinks pictured: Oat flat white and hot chocolate.
The final coffee from my Coromandel trip. They use beans from Laroma Coffee. The coffee wasn't very good 😬 but the latte art definitely called for a photo.

Harbour House Cafe, Whitianga (Coromandel)
Drink pictured: Iced americano
The second coffee stop in the Coromandel was Harbour House Cafe in Whitianga. They use beans from L'Affare, which I had as an iced americano. They have lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and the outside seats would be quite nice to get a view of the waterfront.

Slow Coffee Roasters
Beans pictured: Costa Rica - Marespi ($31.99 for 250g)
Just finishing off this bag from Slow Coffee. This one was a bit more acidic than I like, but enjoyed it regardless!

Kua Kawhe, Kuaotunu (Coromandel)
Drink pictured: Oat flat white ($6.5) and hot chocolate ($6)
Was in Coromandel a week ago. Had coffee at two places, the first of which was Kua Kawhe in Kuoatunu. They use beans from Coffee Lala, which is a small roastery from the Coromandel region. I had an oat flat white which was really yummy! The cafe is very large with indoors and outdoors seats and really nice decor. They also have a lovely view of the Kuoatunu beach!

Daily Bread, Britomart
Drinks pictured: Iced oat latte ($6.5), iced Americano, bottle orange juice.
This was my first time at that specific location and it's a much larger space than I expected. They have mostly indoor seats and some outdoor seats too. They have a breakfast/brunch menu, or you can order from the cabinet. They use beans from Coffee Supreme and have the usual cafe drinks, but they also sell pre-bottled iced coffee.

D.O.S.E. on High, Auckland CBD
Drinks pictured: Biscoff oat cold brew ($9), strawberry and bay leaf coffee milk punch tonic.
Some pics from D.O.S.E. from December: They have a mostly black interior and I didn't realise how underexposed my photos were until I got home. 😂 Had a pour over in July when I went here for the first time. I have yet to try a flat white there (which is usually the drink I order when I go to a cafe for the first time) so I'm definitely gonna go back for my basic coffee someday!

Kompass Coffee, Auckland CBD
Drinks pictured: Oat matcha latte ($7.8) and coconut matcha latte.
I haven't had a lot of matcha in Auckland but my favourite so far is from Kompass Coffee in the CBD. It was my second time having a matcha there. I had an oat matcha latte, and my friend had a coconut matcha latte. They give you the option to have it sweetened, slightly sweetened, or not sweetened. We had ours not sweetened, but the matcha still had a lovely sweetness to it! They also do hojicha and sesame lattes at Kompass Coffee, and a whole bunch of other specialty drinks. They are located right outside the Auckland Art Gallery so it's a great place to stop by before/after a gallery visit!

Atelier Shu, Newmarket
Drinks pictured: Purple yam latte and iced americano ($7).
Went to Atelier Shu for the first time a few weeks ago. It was quite hot so I just had an iced americano while my friend had a purple yam latte. They do a variety of drinks and dessert/pastries and have seating indoors and outdoors.

Domain & Ayr, Parnell
Drinks pictured: Oat piccolo ($6), iced americano ($6.5) and iced chocolate ($6.5).
Went back to Domain & Ayr in Parnell after a long time. Actually ended up going twice within a week. Had an oat milk piccolo the first time and an iced americano the second time. Both were good! They use beans from Kokako Coffee Roasters. There have mostly seats indoors with a few benches outside as well!

Rhu, Parnell
Drink pictured: Oat flat white ($7.5).
Visited the newly opened Rhu in Parnell. They use beans from Havana Coffee Roasters, and I really enjoyed my oat flat white! They only have indoor seating and the place was packed so we only got bar seats - would recommend booking if you can.
