To Things that Matter
Did you ever wish you could go back to those days where your thoughts are not congested with things: things that hurt, things that confuse the heart, things that bear wounds and leave scars? Did you often think that those things are unnecessary? But recognizing later that those are the things that brought you to that place, to those moments, to that person you are now, and to those people you are with now.
Then again, when you look back to before those days have come, you realized the simplicity, the innocence, the free spirits you had; To fall in love and get hurt; to get lost somewhere and find yourself again; where pen and paper are your only comfort; where a simple chocolate bar and a band-aid can ease the pain. Maybe you just wish you could go back and get the same feeling but never erasing the things you have been through.
Free Spirits. Solitude. Getting Lost. They are simple emotions yet vital that they simply purify the heart.
But things are different now. Harder battles are to be fought, more complex problems are waiting to be solved, and we long to attain a deeper purpose for the common good.
The only thing to do that makes all those days worth the while is to remain good and kind and be that simple innocent child you were before but a stronger version you are now. Only then that those things you thought are unnecessary are indeed the things that matter.
