December 17 now:  Tumblr doom day.

Still seeing ‘adult content’ but that’ll probably go away soonish…

A couple of things that piss me off about the whole thing:  

As you’ve noticed, I post by theme ordinarily so, I’ve bookmarked LOTS of stuff you-all have posted for eventual repost (didn’t know that I that, did you?) to mix in with stuff on my hard-drive.  Those bookmarks will, I assume, soon be dead–along with access to those hundreds of outstanding images–most work by artists rather than just porn. 

Access to a huge variety of gay male art, kinky and otherwise, has been one of the joys of Tumblr…  Another has been access to a variety of fetish communities–it’s been fascinating.  Sigh…

And, ultimately it’s just the broad brush demonization of nudity, erotica and sexual or gender difference and freedom generally*–because Tumblr/Verizon and other big social media platforms are just either too cheap, or too lazy, to do what they need to do to weed out the real problems–which of course include hate speech–which they’re still allowing…

(*Of course, this has always been true of the USA–except when corporations can use sex to sell stuff, of course.)

Manxotica going forward:  still deciding.  I’ll be posting, within guidelines, through this year.  Afterwards, we’ll see.  If there’s another platform willing to do that hard work (like, possibly, Cumblr), I may move.  Or, given the huge amount of time I could free up by just not doing it at all, I may have Manxotica go dormant.  But I do still have morph images to get out there somehow and I’m hoping there’ll be a good place soon.
