The last few days had been hell for Cobalt. He had been writhing in pain and confined to his room ever since Nick had pulled him from that cave.

That missing person case was a trap, but he and Nick didn't realize it until it was too late. The whole thing was a bait to bring in stupid people, minute men, or any kind hearted person who would have gone out of there way to help the 'poor girl'.

Finally after two days Cobalt's screams had stopped. Now he was quietly sobbing into his pillow, skin pale as snow, and eyes turned a shocking red.

"Nick!" He called out. "Please! I-i can't feel my heart beating anymore!" The blonde cried as he lay on his bed clutching a pillow that was stained with his own blood. He took in a few deep breaths and coughed a bit as he pressed the pillow into his chest trying to feel his own pulse drum against his ribs.

Memory Addiction

When Cobalt was suddenly ripped from his deepest memories he was greeted to a sea of sparks in front of him. He pulled his coat over his face in an attempted to shield his eyes from the popping bolts of electricity. As he did so a wave of nauseousness came over him. The courier gave a hiccup and gagged a bit as he held his hands over his mouth. A small whimper emanated from Cobalt as he tried to hold his lunch down and blood began to drip down from his left nostril.
