Having a little lift sesh at @ufcgymlamirada, my other home away from home! A few sets of 225lbs, then 315lbs and 1 rep at 415lbs. Back and hip is starting to feel strong again! With a little more mobility exercises and hip stability drills it will be time to continue the journey to 500lbs. (at UFC GYM)

It's not just the workout that changes you, its the EFFORT! Anyone can coast through a hour workout and claim it was easy but its ultimately the effort you put into every rep of every exercise that makes the difference. Plan your workouts ahead of time and train with real purpose. "Without the WORK in workout its just an EASY out!"

I tried out a few new hip mobility drills I've learned and tested it out with some light weight squats at 225lbs, Deadlifts at 225lbs then 315lbs. So far so good. The weight felt light, my back felt strong and my range of motion didn't seem too stiff anywhere. I've had great success helping clients with their back and hip dysfunctions but for someone like me who's had mechanical dysfunction since their teenage years it takes more than simple stretches and foam rolling. "Don't stop when you're tired. Stop when you're DONE!!" For some, pushing themselves to the limit or even past their limit isn't an issue. But for the rest of us, myself included, we need to dig deeper and find that motivation and drive to take it one more day, one more set and even one more rep! As I always say "You can slow down if you NEED to but whatever you do, DO NOT STOP!"

Monday 6am Daily Ultimate Training!! Today's post turkey day weekend workout required cardio and lifts that activate the muscles around the entire body. 6am Wednesday Daily Ultimate Training! Today we went with heavy Kettlebells that made for a challenging strength and power workout. A lot of you were using weight you didn't know you could thanks to some tweaks to the form. We even went into a little of the technique for Turkish Getups. Great job everyone!
