one thing i hate abt fandom spaces is that when ppl like, attempt to call out the mistreatment of women in media and like. the ignoring and demonizing het ships or whatever, it comes down to "heterosexual people aren't discriminated against!" which yes is .. very true. i think we All know that. however. you are willfully ignoring the role misogyny plays in fandoms relationship to this!! people don't want to treat female characters like they're well rounded and capable of being in complex relationships even if theyre consider het ships. maybe it wouldnt suck so bad if women weren't constantly put to the side for getting in the way or made one dimensional as maternal figures or 'girlbosses' or whaetvr. but that is the normal in fandom spaces. grah i know this isnt a big deal to a lot of people but like. it works me up so bad. because nobody bothers to wonder why they feel this way towards these things and it's more often than not rooted in misogyny!! even subconciously!!

its kinda crazy to see dream and his circle still reduce women to objects and like chess pieces or something in all of this and diverting from the very real hurt women in their lives theyve drove away from content creation. like. it really sinks it in that they view content creation and their friend group as a boys club. they don't care about the women hurt in their circle bc their opinions and traumas are what.. inherently lesser? or something?? why is it that you only feel the need to bring up the concerns men had with you, and when you do talk about someone who isn't a man- its villainizing them and disregarding their identity in a way that feels distinctly misogynstic. painting them as hysterical and evil. can't quite pinpoint why but god. its all icky. nonmen have and always will deserve better from the community and god they will just never get it because they can't get through their skulls that they aren't some lesser beings
