“That sounds amazing, Carrie,” he chirps, sitting and crossing his ankles under the table. Two menus already sit face-down in front of them, but Hugh ignores this for now. “It’s good to see that life is treating you so well. I’m seeing you almost everywhere nowadays! It’s fantastic!” Grinning, he nudges her arm playfully. “What’s that like, being loved by America?”

At the mention of his ‘little one’, Hugh chuckles. “Oh, we’re still settling into LA. Cyrus likes it so far - it’s a lot warmer here than Toronto or New York, which is a blessing. I’m just glad he actually doesn’t mind traveling so much,” he answers with a light shrug, clasping his hands together. In all honesty, the move has been going a lot smoother than he thought it would (knock on wood). Fingers crossed that it stays that way. "So, how long are you in LA? Enough time for you to drag me around town and show me all the sights?”

Carrie chuckled a little and shrugged, humbly. “It’s great. I mean, it’s good to see I haven’t lost it, ya know? People still like my music which is great. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years already since I won American Idol. It makes me feel so old putting out a greatest hits album.” she laughed. “Well I’m terribly sorry you have to see me everywhere you turn.” she giggled. “I don’t know, you tell me ‘sexy British boy’ you have these American girls weak at their knees.” she winked.

A waiter came by and took their drink orders as she smiled at him and thanked him, before he walked away. “It’s always sunny here. I love it. I love Nashville and it’ll always be home but there’s something so unique about LA.” she smiled warmly, looking over to him. “He’s a good little boy. You got lucky.” She said as she sat back a little in her chair. “I think we’re wrapping up the album here. It was all done back in Nashville but I think we’re wrapping things up here, so a bit longer. Long enough to show you around, yes. Although I might nto be your best tour guide.” she laughed.
