okay okay so from the comments im getting this notion that people think paul is "going to have a change of heart"... but i have a feeling... he doesn't need one. by the way he shot that guy with no hesitation and called the ah'kon girl ... yk... a girl... instead of a "thing" like he had been doing before, i have a feeling that all that anti-ah'kon business from before was a front.

i think, in paul's mind, it was best for julia to believe that ah'kon were bad so she could grow up with a normal life like she wanted to, but when he walked in and saw that she was hiding the little girl, he realized he didn't have to do that any longer. that would explain his initial shock at seeing his daughter like that. it also explains why he was so fervent on finding the girl too; so that he could rescue her!! so, no, i dont think paul needs a change of heart. i think he already had one.

maybe he learned something about how ah'kon were treated while he was a sargeant, or just being in the military in general, or when the kamille and her got lost and was disgusted by it and wants to secretly help others. or maybe, and crossing my fingers bc im DYING for this, JULIA MOM LORE!! WHEREIS THAT BITCH!!

side note, god julia taking a bullet to the head. so badass. and how when the solider was yelling at paul to shoot the girl, suddenly you didn't know if he was tlaking about her or the girl, because in the eyes of kalgratt, both were abominations. she had become what she feared the most a few months ago, an enemy of the state. a creature.

sounds freaky but trust. no ones getting any action. especially julia. it will have a mature rating because of sexual central themes but not explicit.

the point of writing this was kind of exploring another side of sahed and julia ( though it is julia-centric lol ) for sahed, i notice that i and many others kind of categorize him as this sex demon, which given his behavior in earlier episodes and very recently (and shit even in the newest fastpass) isn't invalid obviously, but i think recently its also been revealed he is... very naive boi 🥹 obviously niave in a wider,w ordly sense but still. boylike. so thats why he may seem like slightly ooc-bimboish in this; i wanted to exaggerate that new aspect of his personality. and for julia, this is something we dont ignore about her lol because its hilarious, but her complete and utter repression. since this is a modern au i put a little catholic school spin on it and her repression is kind of the central thing moving my little plot forward.

all's this to say, i'm making it sound like its a very complicated intertwining character study. its not. its just kind of fun, kind of ooc, kind of getting some really life emotions out onto a page, but so far its my biggest oneshot yet and like i said im excited for people to read. this might be one of my last contributions to marionetta fics for awhile.

julia is a lot like hermione lol so im def putting her in gryffindor though i considdered ravenclaw for a second. kamille is a pretty obvious option for hufflepuff but i think she would work in gryffindor just so the two could stay together hehe.
