Reblog and put in the tags the worst impression that somebody’s ever had of you.
#so many people think I know what I’m doing#in so many situations#people always think I’m smart and capable#and it makes it difficult bc I struggle with a lot of things#and they act surprised and disappointed and are even reluctant to help like what#I’ve been wondering if it’s my glasses or autism or something

My specific brand of aromanticism is like if I knew that Santa Claus wasn't real but people do get christmas presents except Santa Claus actually was real and everyone else was getting their presents from him while I'm just getting them from a regular guy
#this and also sometimes I wish Santa was bringing me presents but then I remember I’m not actually missing out on anything I want (presents#I’m just drawn in by the way it’s romanticised in media#with Santa on all the cards and movies and stuff

Imagine this; there is an incredible evil human being who continually kills people and causes havoc, in part to upset you specifically. Locking them up or other non-lethal methods only stalls them for a bit. Many people consider them your responsibility. You could easily kill them and get away without legal repercussions, at least. Do you?
1. Yes, killing them ultimately results in a net-positive
2. Yes, but with hesitation, it goes against my morals
3. Yes, but only once they hurt someone really dear to me
4. Yes, with glee even
5. Yes, for other reasons
6. No, killing is wrong regardless of your reasoning
7. No, because I wouldn't want to kill someone personally
8. No, it's not my responsibility
9. No, but I would make great efforts to make them stop in other ways
10. No, for other reasons
#so we’re doing the Batman debate again huh#ik my blog theme prob shows my feelings abt this#but for the record while I would PERSONALLY consider killing the joker#Batman’s reasons for sparing him are also personal & ppl forget that too easily#he’s a CHARACTER and he has THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS ABOUT STUFF#he’s not a robot who always does what’s right#and what’s right is a matter of opinion anyway#ok rant over

A thing that always gets to me about how people perceive Bart Allen as a teenager that never stops or is "oblivious" both in the comics and in fandom, is that they're really failing to see or understand that Bart does slow down all the time.
He is stopping to smell flowers, notice the crawling insect on the pavement, stops to watch a squirrel scurry up a tree, notice how bright water can really be under sunlight and how vivid life is. He's noticing things people would never think to notice or appreciate because he spent his entire life in a false reality that mimicked the real world.
He stops and slows down all the time, he just does it so quickly in his own ambient speed no one notices. So of course they say he never slows down.
"Stop and do your homework."
"But I did!"
"No, you didn't stop, you used your powers to do it, do it again at normal speed."
Imagine being told you're not doing things correctly unless you stop being who you are. Gee that sounds familiar... what does this sound like.
#I’m rereading Impulse & this finally put my feelings into words#like yeah he’s still impulsive & stuff#but he also just experiences time differently#and it’s all so different from his perspective so he doesn’t get why people are annoyed#and he puts So Much effort into being perceived and understood by slower people and they don’t even realise#I can’t#bart allen#dc comics

I’ve been seeing those cute teabag bookmarks all over Pinterest and wanted to try one with some scraps I had. The usual floral designs weren’t really my vibe, though

I deleted TikTok a few months ago after I had a similar problem so here’s some things I did:
1. Played games, especially Pokémon on my old DS (still had small screen “vibes” and collecting stuff was fun)
2. Sitcoms! The fast pace felt a lot like TikTok videos and I could binge a lot of episodes. It wasn’t exactly the same but it was a good stepping stone for fixing my attention span
3. Cartoons! Same reasons as 2, the pacing can be better for short attention spans
4. Cross stitch, crochet, diamond painting, or something similar while listening to anything (music, sitcoms, podcasts) so you can space out while putting in as little effort as you want/need. I find small cross stitch projects are best when I need to rest in bed but want something to do
5. Talk to IRL people if you can, I’ve been posting less on here because I’ve been trying to text any funny/interesting thoughts to friends and start conversations instead, it makes me feel less lonely personally
Hope some of this helps, and I hope you feel better soon!
Does anyone know anything other than social media I can do to help wean me off it, social media isn't the best for my mental health rn but my attention span is fried so it's a little hard for me to like. Watch a full movie without doing something.
Another caveat is I am dealing with severe severe fatigue rn (doctors r trying to figure out why it is so bad) so most days I like don't have the energy to get up out of bed (hence why I'm on my phone all the damn time, I ain't got jack to do, I'm too exhausted to do anything but like. Scroll and lay down.)
