In the small town of Gilltburough, Ferdie dreams of being a hero that is able to protect everyone to to live up to his dead father. After he and his brother find a girl lost in the woods, he becomes determined to protect her from the wizards chasing after her.

HCA-888 AVARICE, also known as the "Illusion of Control", "False Yggdrasil", and "247 Years and More" is a Storie that desires to take more and more land. Many powerful people have joined the ranks of the snakes on its crown after giving up their land. People with hope have looked upon it and dug their own graves at its roots to try and do... something.

Its influence should not be seen as an easy means to get rich quick. You only realize how far you've gone when you look back and see no one behind you.

Design notes:

TOXIC MELTDOWN -> Despair of late-stage capitalism/ climate change, taking advantage of "if i just work hard enough". toxic work environment and a mental breakdown/meltdown.

the eyes are the fruits it gives to exchange "power" (gaining more land, tricking people into working for it)

888 resembles the snakes eating each other, but it also represents financial success and prosperity

The rainbows are supposed to resemble oil spills, but its supposed to trick people into thinking it is beautiful / the way to get a better future

the snakes eating each other represents general greed / putting down or exploiting others to gain power, but also how companies just sort of.. eat each other

its a tree because money is the "root of all evil"/"money grows on trees", and the idea of the Original Sin starting capitalism (thanks Moby Dick)

i had an idea for a rougelite where after the Pequod is destroyed, Ahab becomes a vengeful ghost who is STILL trying to defeat Moby Dick, and Pinocchio was made by the remains of the Pequod
