Azaileous
He knows what's up.
He loves his world dearly, and your presence is causing problems.
What is he going to do about that?

Mowd
Mowd the Cloud
Mowd is simultaneously a philanthropist and scam artist. Not very trustworthy, but has been the leading force in rebuilding the Cloud Kingdom after the evil king Leon was overthrown.
They own a business creatively named "Cloud Co." in collaboration with their 2 brothers. Mowd is the main person in charge, however. They help with collecting food, building materials, and other amenities for the kingdom. They also have a service for finding people jobs.
On the other hand, Mowd is all about trickery and contracts, and if they know someone isn't in dire need, they won't be afraid to mess with them. They have a charm to them, building charisma, but they get a bit more irritable once things get serious.

Kajiscon
Kajiscon goes by Kaj for short, it's easier to say. She's the adoptive daughter of Namu and Rose, and wants to learn to fight in order to help people.
Kaj is a smart kid. She's into electronics just as much as fighting, and has even helped the king himself with some projects! However, no matter what she does, it doesn't seem she can get approval from her dad...

About Asks...
The asks is for any questions you have about the game, or me (Jason Ravis.) You can ask me my favorite type of cheese, ask why the heck there are a bunch of buildings floating in the sky in this game, or why the earth isn't pineapple shaped. You can also ask any questions to specific characters and I'll write responses in character! That way, you can gain a better understanding of each character.

Namu
Resident science man
Namu is a scientist and one of the main people who developed the technology that allows you to possess Jay's body. But, he didn't quite know what he was making.
In the first chapter, he's the main person to help you get back to the kingdom of Laru and break out of the strange universe you are in. He's on the player's side, but also isn't happy with the man who caused Jay to be "deleted." He's the type of person who just wants to get something done, leading to a pretty powerful duo between him and Jay.
Although a bit more serious than others, he has a soft spot for his adoptive daughter and wife. The goofy jacket he wears is from his daughter. It doesn't fit his preferences, but he doesn't care.

Suhn
Jay's brother.
He does what he's told... usually. He doesn't care too much about conflict. He wears a chestplate and war paint because... he can, I guess, but never really fights. He can fight, very well in fact, and was elected to help train some of the soldiers in the army, even though Suhn really didn't want to have that kind of commitment to anything.
He is one of Lee's only friends, as well as his brother's best friend. He doesn't easily get upset, unless something happens to his brother (oh boy).
He'll treat most people in a friendly manner, but it takes a lot to gain his trust. If you misstep, you might lose that opportunity forever.
Suhn really just wants time to himself and his small group of friends and ignore any outside conflict unless it hurts a person he cares about.

Jay
Jay is the main character of the game. Well, his body is the main character of the game. When you first hit play, he is booted from his own body into a dark endless abyss. Now, you're the only one with control of his body.
...Or are you?
Despite you playing in Jay's body, there are several things he did before you came to be that are important to note.
He's the army general in the Kingdom of Laru, one of the main locations you'll visit after chapter 1. Jay had a strategic mind and knew a lot more about what was going on behind the scenes. He even know that you were going to possess his body at some point, and did all he could to prepare.
Jay is in a relationship with Lee, and is one of Lee's only friends. After learning what would happen to himself, Jay began training Lee to fend for himself. But, he couldn't have the heart to tell Lee what was really happening.
Jay is generally pretty laid back unless in the face of conflict, in which he is extremely serious. He doesn't take too kindly to messing around.
Jay cared very deeply about the protection of his people, especially Lee, and devoted his time to making sure things were safe.

Lee
For our first main character... Lee!
Lee is the character you'll be around the most, by far. He is the boyfriend of Jay, the character whose body you've taken over. He isn't particularly happy about this change, but, who would be?
An avid cook, always ready to invent the next best recipe. He runs his own successful bakery, but in the events of the game, this bakery won't be open, unfortunately.
Generally, Lee can appear a bit dense when talking to new people and doesn't catch on to things very quickly. This isn't done with intention, in fact, he does his best to be as friendly possible, in hopes to make a friend. He's a bit quick to act in certain scenarios, only to face the consequences later on. Nothing too bad has happened, though... yet.
Lee supports (nearly) everything that involved Jay, including help managing an entire army due to Jay's "absence."
Most people dislike Lee, even though they themselves don't know why. No one can deny a treat from him, however. This has never stopped him, though, in doing his best to be friendly.

Introducing... Clouds! (The game)
spoiler alert only like 5% of it takes place in a sky kingdom
This is the official Tumblr page for my upcoming game: Clouds! My itch page has been pretty dead (as in, I barely do anything with it) and I wanted to provide more in-depth detail about the game itself! So here, I will do just that! Locations, characters, and gameplay will all be shown here!
So, first off, here's a few questions/notes/FAQ/whatever we're calling this...
What is Clouds?
Clouds is a brand new 2D pixel-art RPG all about making choices. Explore a brand new world where everyone seems to know you, but you don't know them! As you make your way, encounter many enemies who want to capture your rabbit partner, Lee! Kill them or talk your way out of battle.
You're trapped in the wrong dimension, so you must travel to the capital city in order to enact the plan to escape to your home universe, Laru.
But is that actually what the game is about?
No, this is just the main plot of the first chapter. Chapter 1 deals a lot more with setting up characters. Think of it as a prologue. There's no timeskip, however, as Chapter 2 starts the moment after Chapter 1 ends. So what is this game actually about?
The game is about alternate universes. You travel to seven different universes to thwart a (soon to be revealed) threat. Each universe started at the same point in history, but branched off from that single point leading to many different events. Roles get swapped around, different people have different relationships with each other, stuff like that. Think of Undertale AUs where many of them are switched up roles. Another important factor is that everyone knows you're the player character of a video game(well, everyone knows this by chapter 2). You don't play as your own character, you are yourself, and the characters will speak to you directly.
But... this doesn't stop you from travelling through time. Certain events will happen in each chapter that will result in an unsatisfying outcome, but you won't know why. As you progress through later chapters, you might learn the reasons behind these problems, and you can go back and fix them. Then, you can play through the chapters again and see the differences, or you can just return to where you were before. The differences made in these timeline changing scenarios are pretty large, however, so there is always something new to see.
When is the game coming out????
I've been working on the first chapter for about 3 years, and recently finished the first round of playtesting. I don't want to set myself any deadlines, but it's getting closer. I'm redoing a lot of sections but the groundwork is there for everything.
Where's a trailer?? Isn't that like, one of the most vital things to have??
No trailer yet, I have no idea how to make a trailer, but I will try to make one soon. In the meantime I will post screenshots, music, and footage of various parts of the game!
What do you actually do in the game?
The main gameplay is in two parts: One, making choices. Nearly every single thing you do is tracked and will affect your relationships with the characters and your ability to do certain tasks. Two, the game is a "fighting" game. I can't define it into a genre since there is no genre for the fighting system. Each chapter will have a different type of battle system to match the universe you're in. For example, chapter one is a turn based bullet-hell platformer. The people you're fighting want to give you a fair chance, after all, battle etiquette is very important! But, in chapter two, no one cares about battle etiquette. Everyone wants to simply kill you. So, the combat system turns into a hack and slash. Different renditions of the previous battle systems will reappear throughout the game depending on who you're fighting.
...Honestly, I'm still not sure if this is a good idea, game design wise. But I'm committed, and I'll make it work.
Anything else????
Not that I can think of right now, but I will update this FAQ as time goes on in order to discuss the game in more detail. For now, I'm going to work on posting character bios and art so you know what you're getting yourself into!
