this is one of those choices that can add or subtract points for relationship values, a plus for (be strong) and i think nothing for (i don’t know if i can hold on).

i’m cool with choosing the barret plus options tho. i think i’ve already mentioned that i’m going for the tifa date scene.

barret’s value starts at 0, yuffie’s* at 15, tifa’s at 20 and aeris’ at 30, i think. possibly 30 and 50 for tifa and aeris respectively? but same difference lmao

*the fact that you can do this bothers me so much, as does the comments about marlene in barret’s date.

he’s weak to lightning, halves fire damage, and nullifies gravity and earth (not that we have either of those two last materia lmao), has 1200HP and drops the titan bangle

i think this fight was designed for the party to not already be at lv18 when i take him on, considering air-buster is lv15 lmao oh well

i hate this puzzle, i hate anything timed in this game. i have lost count over the years how many times i have seen tifa say this. i can Hear how exasperated she is.

also my god i managed to actually get my stolen item back from the guy in car 3 despite giving him the wrong answer the first time srtoihst more often than not i just flat out fail the train escape but apparently not this time!

i really can’t blame barret for being antsy about this mission, especially with what happened yesterday but like..... i feel like we could have had a better plan than ‘jump off a train’ somehow

ok i didn’t think to screencap this convo bc i didn’t realise it was one time, but before this, the conversation basically goes

and then they just. fall over like this, and this is the only response you get.

also, while grinding, i’ve managed to not only unlock tifa’s first level 2 limit break, but both barret’s first level 2 and level 3 limit breaks.

leveling’s going quick here but my gosh is it going to be hell once we slow down and grab more characters. 

it’s gonna be a hell of a rush to get aeris’ limit breaks before the end of disk 1.

whoops. whelp. while grinding for my 99 iron bangles? i managed to unlock cloud’s second limit break? so uh. Go Me

for those that don’t know, a character starts with their first level 1 limit (cloud has braver, barret has big shot, tifa has beat rush, etc) unlocked. the first limit breaks for level 2 and 3 are unlocked by defeating X number of enemies. the second limit break (if there is one) for levels 1-3 are unlocked by using the first limit break X number of times.

and the level 4 limit break, of course, is taught using a manual. some of which are much easier to get than others lmao.

lookin forward to spending hours in the fucking golden saucer workin for omnislash lmao...
