Thank you for all the fun, everybody! Cloudcraft is now officially closed. We’ll get the save file up as soon as we are able. ❤️ We are keeping the discord up for those who want an easy way to stay in touch with other players. It might be a fun way to organize joining other servers and playing other games together, or just to say hi now and then. If anyone who was a part of Cloudcraft wants to be added to the discord, contact us and let us know.

Help will always be given at Hogwarts to those who ask for it. ❤️

Hello all! It should come as no surprise to those of you who stuck around with us this long and noticed the decline of activity on the server that it is sadly time for us to close Cloudcraft. Although we have been bound by unstable plugins that made us unwilling to add new members, it also came down to a matter of time that we were unable to dedicate to the server as a whole. We thank all of you for being the best part of Cloudcraft (and Cupcakecraft!) and for making this server such a joy to be a part of. We are very proud of everything everyone built and the community that formed along the way, and that will be what we miss above all else. On April 18th we will be closing the world permanently. There is no end of the world building, but you are all welcome to sign on and tidy up your bases or leave messages around your areas. We will be making the save file for Cloudcraft and Cupcakecraft’s worlds available as soon as possible once it is taken offline. We will keep this tumblr up and running and may even continue posting the huge backlog of bases by players if we are able to do so sometime in the future. Much love to you all! I’ve finally gotten my floating island formed on @cloudcraftmc! I find it funny that the server is named after clouds, and yet I’m the only one living among them. Seems like false advertising to me.

Since we’ve been getting more questions about applications lately, this post still sadly holds true. When this changes we will let you know. 

Quick FAQ re: New Members

As we’ve been getting a lot of questions in the last few days about adding new players, we’re going to put our answers here for others to see! Are we currently adding new members? No we are not. Do we have a date for when we will accept new members? No we do not.

Why aren’t we adding anyone/why don’t we have a date? We are currently on Minecraft version 1.13 - which is not the most stable version available - and our plan was to be updated to 1.13.1 before we considered adding new players. 1.13.1 is currently out but there is a bug where updating all worlds (1.13 worlds included) to 1.13.1 has a chance of deleting the contents of chests on chunk borders and that is something we want to avoid for the sake of our members. So we have been waiting until a safe way to update comes out. Additionally, Spigot for both 1.13 and 1.13.1 are considered development builds that are unsafe for public servers. While we aren’t as concerned about this as we have a whitelist, don’t have a public IP, don’t have (or want) hundreds of players and we closely monitor the ones we do have, sticking to our trusted members instead of adding new ones we don’t know yet has made this waiting period much easier.

How will we know when you’re accepting new members? When we know we will be posting about it both here and on our website in the news section!
