Stop đ Pitting đ Woman đAgainst đ Each Other đ 2020
Hopefully my last post about this for the year.Â
If you only talk about Normaniâs talent/success when bashing Camilaâs talent/success, I donât vibe with you. If you try and drag Normani (or have at any point participated in, or condoned, the racist slander against her) in an attempt to make Camila look better, I donât vibe with you either. Period.Â
I think both women are talented and successful. With everything that has come to light recently, there are a lot of valid reasons to dislike Camila, absolutely no one should feel obligated to forgive or support her if they are offended by what she said. However, disliking her, or thinking she is a terrible person does not erase her success, whether you like it or not. She is FAR from flopping like people are claiming. She has 2 #1âs on billboard, 4 top ten hits, her first album charted for 95 WEEKS peaking at number 1, Romance peaked at number 3. She has been one of the most streamed Spotify artists since the beginning of her career, currently at number 5.
I do think this era is under-performing, I wonât argue that, and I think there are plenty of reasons to why that is. Personally, I really like this album as a cohesive piece of work, but it didnât live up to the hype of her first album, and was lacking support even before her racist re-blogs resurfaced. Notably, her singles didnât peak that high on billboard either, but this time of year that can be said for a few artists. To compare X-factor alums, Nice to Meet Ya only peaked at 63, and even Harry Stylesâ singles of this current era didnât make the top 10, despite his album going to number 1. So I donât think itâs valid to claim sheâs a flop, and I canât foresee this era this being the end of her career like people are calling for.Â
But to the people actively posting hate about her on Normaniâs behalf: you are no better than Câs toxic stans who came after Normani. You donât need to like/ respect/ support/ forgive her, or the way she has treated Normani, but if you actively send hate/ make death threats/ body-shame her / make deportation jokes etc, again, I donât vibe with you. Two wrongs donât make a right, and thatâs the hill I choose to die on.Â
I think Normani is incredibly talented. Subjectively speaking, her chart history is a tad underwhelming, and most of her songs have been a miss for me. However, the Motivation music video is iconic and I respect her as an artist and everything she stands for. I do think this is only the beginning for her, and she is going to be an artist to watch in the new year. But thatâs its own statement. I donât think sheâs talented in comparison to Camila. I think she is talented. Period.
Can we PLEASE stop comparing female artists and just let them have their own careers? For instance, if Camilaâs career does indeed tragically end, that doesnât âmake roomâ for Normani. She should have her own space in the industry, regardless of what happens with Camila. Itâs not one or the other.
Iâve seen SO MANY comments throughout the FH era about stans being PISSED at management for pushing this narrative FOR YEARS that all the girls hated each other and that they were in constant competition, but yâall canât figure out how to compliment or stan any of them without putting down someone else? You, the fans, are the ones forcing them to compete for the title of âmost successful FH alumâ, and there is honestly just no need.Â
Please just have more respect for your fav, talk about their talent because they are talented, not to spite someone else. Spread love, only.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk. Happy Holidays everyone, I hope 2020 is a good year for all of you.

I donât really agree. In addition to his use of the n-word, and that racist âjokeâ from when he was 14 (?), Justin has constantly been put on blast for his cultural appropriation/use of black culture, as well as accused of using black people as props well into his early 20â˛s. The criteria for which white people get âpardonedâ for their racist behavior is inconsistent. I personally donât understand the difference here.Â
Iâm not trying to speak on the validity, sincereness, or directness of her apology. However, to dismiss Justin's past actions because of his activism, while simultaneously undermining or invalidating Camilla's activism because of her past actions seems hypocritical.Â

I havenât hoped on tumblr for SUCH a long time but I have been feeling all types of ways about the Camila Cabello controversy and I kinda just wanted to put my two cents out there as tumblr has always felt like a safe space for me.Â
Firstly, what she did was racist. Period. Iâm not here to justify what she did or excuse her actions. Iâm gonna call it like it is. But I would just like to note that 2012 was a different time, white people literally got away with murder and society never really called anyone out for it. Those racist âjokesâ she reblogged were incredibly normalized on the internet. Being politically correct then was not near as important or valued as it is today. I think for 2019 twitter to hold a 15 year old girl more accountable for her words than society did grown adults at the time is a little problematic. Take a look at Jeffery Star for example, who said numerous racially insensitive things. It wasnât until years later that he was called out and held accountable for his actions.
At the same time, Iâm not trying to denounce what she said, or imply it wasnât offensive, or âforgiveâ her, because her actions and apology was not directed towards me, and therefor it is not my place to forgive them. I just think that context is important.Â
I also really dislike how twitter is handling this. Twitter took a really serious subject and made it a joke. All the valid criticism is being lost in the noise. From the tweets Iâve seen, I think its evident that some people donât actually care that she was racist, but rather just love to hate her. Me with my tinfoil hat on, also finds the timing of this suspect to say the least (not to imply that those rebloggs weren't racist or that she isnât in the wrong, but the timing of this news is just really interesting). It really backed on nicely to the trend twitter had of hating and mocking Câs entire life. I also find twitter energy really inconsistent in regards to this situation verses past situation of similar incidents.
I think she should be called out and publicly shammed, as her behavior wasnât okay. But if youâre calling her racist and saying sheâs a terrible person, and in the same sentence youâre wishing death upon her/threatening to kill her/ laughing at a meme of her being hit by a car, then you lose your leg to stand on with me. I also see a lot of hate on Normaniâs behalf, which seems ironic as most of those same fans are still so upset at Câs fans for hating N on Câs behalf and her never properly calling them out (not that the racial posts of Câs fans were in any way okay, but death threats/body shaming someone as a response seems hypocritical). You could argue until your face turns blue that one behavior is worse than another, or someoneâs mental health is more important than someone elseâs, or that hate is valid if you hate them, or that they hated your fav first, but I find all that dialogue really counterproductive.Â
I also see criticisms that she only apologized because she was called out, and that seems like a really naive critique as being called out is WHY celebrities issue apologies. I also see people calling into question the work she has done from age 16+ and undermining it with âshe only did those things for good publicityâ, and I think that is also an argument you can have until your face turns blue. Ethics around charity is always questionable. If you do a good thing to say you did a good thing, did you really do a good thing? The problem is, often times those accusations are baseless/ It is impossible to prove that someones motivations are corrupt as you donât actually know for certain what their reasoning is. You can think her activism is suspect, but you cannot deny itâs existence.
All in all, Iâm not trying to say you shouldnât/canât be offended, or that you should âjust get over itâ. This post is more so a criticism of twitters response. I just personally donât agree with judging someone based solely on the worst things they ever did, and I would hate to live in a world were people are not ALLOWED to change. Like imo the logic of âno, once your this, youâre always thisâ is flawed.Â

Resilience Chapter 9
Summery: After the Dread Doctors left town, life at Beacon Hills High school had once again found a balance. After the summer, when the seniors graduated and went away to school, and Hayden broke up with him and left town, Liam begins junior year feeling abandoned and alone. However, quickly finding comfort in a very unlikely pack of his own, Liam tries to keep the peace until the return of his alpha. This proves itself to be difficult, as being a beacon to supernatural creatures is what the town does best.
A/N: Hey throwback to that time I wasnât a piece of shit and actually wrote for this god damn blog? Hello my beautiful 200 followers who havenât abandoned me yet. I truly hope this is the beginning of me being active again and not being awful. This chapter isnât overly eventful, but I find it very cute. It gets lit after this I promise. Let me know what you guys think of it! :) More to be posted probably soon!
p.s I edited my theme, let me know what you think :)
PSA: I know that the last time I updated was before season six (oops Iâm sorry Iâm shit) so in case yâall are new readers this is an AU/my version of season 6, and therefore none of what happened in the most recent season is relevant to this story.
Paring: Liam Dunbar/Reader, Mason/Brett
Come say hi and tell me what you think!
Masterlist
Liam let out a sigh as he ran his hands through his hair before making eye-contact with Elle, who was sitting on the chairs in the lobby of the Animal Clinic. He yawned and took a seat next to her, exhausted from the past hour of helping Deaton attended to the girlâs injuries. Seeing it first hand, as opposed to Brett or Argent explaining to him, made the injuries feel so different in Liamâs head. Something didnât add up and he needed to figure it out, and soon. However, his brain felt like it was on fire, and he needed to deal with what was happening right now first. âYou alright?â He asked Elle, who was staring forward with a blank expression of her face.
âYeah,â She responded, âjust tired is all.â
âTell me about it.â
âYou know, when you told me the stories about your friends and you, dealing with these kind of things it was kind of exciting; like you were all solving a mystery. Its not as exciting anymore.â
Liam frowned, sitting up straight as he placed his hand on her knee. âI know its scary sometimes butâ â
âIâm fine. Nothing happened, I shouldnât be scared and Iâm fine.â
Liam raised his eyebrow at her words. She was still facing forward and something about her demeanor seemed off. âA lot has happened in the past few weeks, itâs a lot to digest, trust me I know. Itâs alright if youâre not okâ â
âI know.â She interrupted, this time turning to look at him and offering him a smile.
Liam offered a small smile back, and mentally went through the checklist in his head. She didnât read of anything. Her heat-beat didnât skip, so he knew that she knew it was in fact ok to not be ok, but that doesnât equate to her actually being fine: it just means she was careful with her word choice.
This had been a pattern for the past few weeks; something bad happening, or Liam telling her about something bad happening and Elle accepting the information and then brushing it off. She was going to have to deal with her emotions eventually.
Liam squeezed her knee slightly in reassurance. âAlright, but if you ever need to talkâ â
This time he was disturbed by the sound of a door shutting. Liam and Elle both flicked their heads to the side to see Deaton exiting from the examination room. He was rubbing at his eyes as he also was awfully exhausted.
âHow is she?â Elle asked, her and Liam standing up go greet him.
âSleeping, finally.â He answered before turning his attention to Liam. âI gave her a sedative, but she might wake up at some point in the night. Iâd offer to stay butâ â
âNo itâs alright,â Liam interjected, knowing what Deaton was getting at, âI can stay tonight.â
âThank you. I can stick around for the hour though if you need to drive Elle home.â
Liam nodded. âYeah thatâd be great.â
âHome?â Elle piped up. Both boys looked at her in confusion, as she stared back, glancing between the two of them. âIâm not going home.â She argued.
Liam rolled his eyes at her attitude. âYes you are.â
âNo Iâm not.â She said firmly.
âElle itâs three oâclock in the morning, let me drive you home.â
âNo, I want to stay.â
âYouâre not staying, your momâs probably already worried.â
âNo I called her.â
Deaton and Liam both paused their movements and looked at her with confusion. âWhat do you mean you called your mom?â Liam asked cautiously.
Elle stayed silent for a moment. âAfter I threw up.â She said sheepishly.
Liam snorted, mind quickly reminiscing holding Elleâs hair back after Deaton started snapping the girlâs bones back into place. Hopefully she wasnât like Stiles and would adapt to it eventually.
Deaton blinked at her a few times, still very alarmed. âAnd what exactly did you tell her?â
Elle crossed her arms and gave the boys a look. âI told her Iâm at the Animal Clinic, instead of the hospital, after we found a body in the middle of the road who was basically ripped in two, and I spent the past two hours watching you guys re-assemble her.â She answered sarcastically.
âThatâs a tad bit over-dramatic, donât you think?â Liam rebutted.
Elle rolled her eyes. âNo shit, Iâm not dumb. I told her Cameron called because she was having boy drama and you dropped me off after the movie, so I asked if I could stay over.â
Liam tilted his head in confusion once more. âWho the hell is Cameron?â
âThe friend I made up.â
âYou made up a friend?â Deaton questioned.
Elle nodded. âYeah? Iâve watched enough television to know that weâd be going gallivanting and would be out all night so I needed a ruse.â She said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Both the boys once more stopped and stared at her for a few moments, digesting what she just said. Elle stared back, raising her eyebrows at him; as if she was challenging him to fight with her.
âAt lest sheâs punctual.â Deaton said, breaking the silence.
Liam shook his head. âThatâs not the point, Elle Iâm driving you home.â
âBut Iâm at Cameronâs house. What am I supposed to say? I solved her issues and she sent me home at three am?â
âDeaton, tell her she needs to go home.â
Deaton rolled his eyes as the two teenagers bickering in his Lobby. He thought it was going to be an extremely quite night before Elle and Liam showed up at his door and ambushed him with a body. After Scott left for school, Deaton was optimistic that maybe the teen-aged shenanigans would leave too. However, ever since Liam started working at the clinic (he had a fantastic reference from a previous employee), it was almost as if the chaos never left. Deaton was beginning to miss Scott. âIâm not getting in the middle of you two.â
âDeatonâ âLiam protested.
Deaton ran his hand stressfully over his face. âYouâre the one that told her she was involved; you donât get to choose when that fact is or isnât relevant based on whether itâs an inconvenience for you. Besides, with all the Mountain ash in this place, its always good to have a human around. Scott always had Stiles.â With that, he grabbed his coat and left, leaving the two teenagers to look after the girl.
âWhatâs mountain ash?â Elle asked.
Liam face-palmed, there was still so much ground to cover.
 ----------
Elle sat back down in the lobby of the animal clinic. Liam had gone around and double checked to make sure all the windows were secure, and the front door locked. He looked around the room, seeing if there was anything to give them a better sleep. He returned with a blanket. âThis is all I could find.â He said, taking a seat next to Elle, between her and the wall. âAnd you could go steal a dog and cuddle with it I suppose.â
Elle chucked, nudging Liamâs shoulder. âWhy would I steal a dog, when Iâve got you? Youâre basically a dog, right?â She teased.
Liam rolled his eyes. âThose jokes stopped being funny the second you started making them.â
âNo, theyâre still funny.â She responded, laughing.
âAre you saying you want to cuddle, Elle?â Liam joked, turning his head to look at her.
Elle shrugged, looking forward for a moment and then turning to look at him. âI mean; you are the closest thing I have to a pillow.â She joked.
Liam cracked a smile. Elle turned so her back was facing Liam, and directed him so she was tucked into his side, his arm draped over her so her head resting against his shoulder and then kicked her feet up. Liam shifted so he was leaning against the corner and then moved his head so it gently rested on hers.
Liam closed his eyes for a moment and enjoyed the silence, before speaking again. âHey Elle? About earlierâ â
âCan we talk about it later? Iâm really tired.â
Her heartbeat may not have jumped, and there may have been no chemo-signals, but Liam knew her well enough to know that something was wrong.
âYeah of course.â He said instead. âGoodnight.â
âGoodnight.â
Liam tightened his grip on her slightly, and closed his eyes again. He tried to listen to her heartbeat until she fell asleep, but exhaustion hit him, and he was out before he knew it.
 ----------
 Liam first awoke to chaos.
Hearing the commotion in the examination room, he quickly became very aware to his surroundings. âStay here.â He said to Elle, who he had shook aware when he stood up.
Liam opened the door to see the girl in complete hysterics. If her physical actions werenât enough for him to pick up on, the chemo-signals sure were. It reeked of anxiety, distress, and fear. She was pulling at her restraints, screaming in pain. Liam assumed that it was possible she didnât know she escaped and was safe, and the need to leave wherever she was outweighed the overwhelming pain she was in.
He leaped into action and grabbed the syringe of the sedative that Deaton laid out of the table. However, before he was able to inject her, she had managed to free her left hand, and slapped it out of Liamâs hand.
âShitâ he cursed under his breath.
Distracted, the girl used to opportunity to slap him across the face with her claws, causing him to groan. Instinctively, he grabbed her arm and twisted it, causing her to scream once more.
Stop Liam, youâre hurting her.
Donât fight her, restrain her.
Liam let go of her wrist, then grabbed her forearm, holding it against her chest and placed his other hand on her shoulder trying to pin her down. She fought against his grip the whole time, screaming at him before letting out a roar.
Ok sheâs definitely a werewolf.
âHey!â He yelled, trying to talk over her, and the loudness of her movements. âHey, hey, hey.â He coed, but it wasnât getting her attention. âIâm not going to hurt you. Youâre safe now. I found you on the road after you escaped, you woke up in the back of my car, remember?â He yelled again.
He watched her face flush with emotion, and her eyes turn back from yellow to brown. She relaxed slightly, but the sheer terror on her face was very prominent. âIâm Liam,â he continued, âLiam Dunbar. Iâm not going to hurt you.â He repeated. He could feel her calm down a bit more, but to emphasize his point, he let go of her shoulder, and grabbed her free hand in both of his, squeezing till his veins turned black. He could hear her sigh in relief. âSee?â He inquired, âyouâre safe here. My boss, who stitched you up, said you have some very serious injuries, and are going to need to sleep for a few days so you can heal, alright?â Liam explained calmly.
The girl nodded at his words, before glancing down at her injuries, and the stitches and gauze on her body. She winced at her appearance before looking around the room. âWhere am I?â She asked softly.
âThe Beacon Hills Animal Clinic.â
Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, âWhere the hell is Beacon Hills?â
Liam shot her a look. Geography is by far his worst subject but even he knows the surrounding towns in the county. Where is she from?
Liam shook off the thought. âWhatâs your name?â
Her head shot up to look at Liam, and her eyes went wide. âI-I donât, I canâtâ â
âShhhh,â Liam cooed, placing his hand on the side of her head to maintain eye-contact. âItâs fine; my boss says that along with your body, your mind has also been through a trauma and you need to let it heal. Go to sleep.â
She shook her head quickly. Liam could sense her anxiety levels rising again. âI canât theyâre gonna find me, I need to leaveâtheyâre going to come backâ â
âHey, hey, hey,â Liam started again, using his other hand to help hold her head, and his elbow to pin down her shoulder. âlook at me, I need you to take a deep breath for me, can you do that? Take a deep breath.â He said slowly. Liam then took a deep breath, and continued to do that until she mimicked him. âSmell that?â He asked. âItâs Mountain ash; no one is coming in without an invitation, youâre safe. I promise.â
âYou promise?â She asked quietly.
Liam scanned her face, trying to read her features. All of her anxiety was clouding any other chemo signals, and he couldnât even imagine the pain she was currently enduring; especially after fighting her restrainsâwhich clearly werenât doing a good job. But what really killed him was her eyes, they looked, empty. âWhat the hell happened to you?â
Liam watched as it looked as if every memory of what she went through hit her at once. She shook her head quickly, tears quickly falling from her face. âI didnât mean to hurt them, they made me do itâIâm so sorry.â She yelled, before her crying made her words inaudible.
Liam panicked slightly-- he didnât mean to traumatize her further. He tried to comfort her again with words but at this point she was too far gone. He held her down, trying to think of a plan to get the syringe before a noise from the door caught his attention.
He looked up to see Elle emerge from the doorway â who had probably been standing there the whole timeâand picked up the sedative.
Liam shifted so his arms were around the girl, and she cried into him, but this way he could hold her arm steady for Elle. Liam held her, and whispered that she was safe into her ear, until he felt her pass out.
Untangling himself, Liam lied the girl back down into a comfortable position before moving around the table to Elleâs side and re-securing the restraint. Elle grabbed the blanket that she had knocked on the floor in her attempt to escape and placed it over her once more.
Liam placed his arm around Elleâs shoulders, pulling her into his side. All of a sudden he was very thankful that they had replaced one of the metal tables in the clinic with a hospital bed, but equally saddened by the fact they had to use it. He wasnât sure what exactly was going on, but he was going to do everything in his power to made sure that it didnât happen again.
âHey Elle?â
âYeah?â
âIâm really glad youâre here.â

Okay, rant time.
Some people make me extremely sick with their disgusting and inappropriate comments with whatâs been happening with Cody Christian and Tyler Posey lately. Yes, they are actors and are often on the spotlight, but guess what?! Theyâre humans and have feelings like everyone else! Donât go parading what was leaked online without their permission. Respect their privacy and keep your dirty inappropriate comments to yourself instead of posting it online for the world to see. Donât compare between the two. Donât hope for someone elseâs nudes to be leaked next. If you really are a fan of the Teen Wolf or a fan of the two actors, then be a real fan by respecting them. Donât support what some fucking assholes did without Cody and Poseyâs consent. By supporting and sharing the nudes, you are not only hurting them, but you are also giving the Teen Wolf fandom a bad impression. Most of us care and respect everyone on their show, and youâre not helping with your inconsiderate actions. So please, quit your shit and respect Cody Christian and Tyler Posey.

Hello my wonderful followers who Iâm very surprised are still with me,
I apologize for me leaving so suddenly, and without saying anything. With the beginning of school I found myself very overwhelmed and unfortunately this was something I ended up dropping.
Thank you to those of you that are still around, and who inboxed me, I truly appreciate it.
Basically, this post is because if it is something you guys would like to read, I would like to start writing again.
My first priority will be my Liam Dunbar Resilience series, and then will be the Stiles Stilinski Series In the Details. Then will be the many one shots people requested, I am very sorry they are still not done, and I will do my best.
If its something you would like to see, feel free to like this post, or shoot me a message, Episode 4 (or 5?) is on tonight so I will be active all night :)
