Condé Nast employees say Black celebrities like Lizzo and Megan Thee Stallion were rejected from videos based on a ‘racist’ vetting process

Business Insider spoke with 13 current and former employees of Condé Nast Entertainment, the famed publisher’s video-production entity, about the process through which videos are pitched and produced.

Sources said this vetting process, which measures the various parts of a pitch against historical data, consistently rejected video pitches that would feature people of color and topics about nonwhite communities.

now that hunzi got suspended from bon appetit for saying that bon appetit is an organisation steeped in institutional racism, hhhhh uhhhhh who amongst us would be down for a rebel faction bon appetit starring sohla ft. hunzi????

i know we’re all boycotting BA (and conde nast) until they get their shit together and compensate their editors and staff of color fairly (seriously. they put sohla in a video series (??) with carla and morocco, we all know she’s definitely AT LEAST on their level.) but in the meantime, have these drawings of the wonderful and talented chefs of color who do so much and deserve so much better !!
