Last Day - yay or nay?
Here it is. I’ve been thinking, dying for this day to come and yet, I feel sad. I feel scared. I can’t help thinking, what if I made the wrong decision? Is it even worth the risk? Specially during this time? Did I really weighed down the pros and cons like I said I have or did I just made an impulse decision just to please someone who will never be satisfied, whatever I do?
Last day. I’ve always been asking how it’s going to be if I leave my comfort zone. It’s always difficult. I’ll be by myself this time, at some place completely new, which is not my territory. It’s hard leaving a place where you pretty much run everything, when you are at the top. And it’s more sad that I have no one to talk this with. Someone, who need not to say anything, someone who would just listen without judgement, without imposing their own take on mine.
It’s hard to start over, at some place entirely new, without a shred of confidence that you have years ago. But this is what I have to deal with now. I made the choice, a choice, which I have to face alone. Yes, I am sad. And I am allowed to feel sad, without prying eyes, without judgement. Without people thinking otherwise. I am sad, and I have all the right to be. After this, I have to pick myself up, and get going. As I always have.
Thank you, tumblr.

The Real Score by Kesh Tanglao [Excerpt + Giveaway]
Hi! Welcome to my stop for The Real Score blog tour. I actually already participated in the previous blog tour for this book before but I just love the story that's why I'm doing this again. Not to mention that the author is AWESOME as well. I will be featuring an excerpt from the book today. Also, you can check my review of the book HERE.
Links: Goodreads, Smashwords, Amazon, Kobo, B&N
Book Description:
Caitlin’s friendship with Marcus, the de facto frontman of the world’s biggest boy band Gezellig, has long been an object of scrutiny by almost everyone—their friends and families, the media, and his fans—ever since they “went public” a couple of years back. Who wouldn’t be interested? She was a nobody, catapulted into the limelight of his fame when he struck an unusual friendship with her.
To both Caitlin and Marcus, what they have is a “perfect little thing.” But then something comes along and threatens it.
In a no-holds-barred interview, will they finally be forced to settle the score?
Excerpt:
I shook my head, my eyes landing on his naked chest. Well, nearly, if you didn’t consider the number of tattoos across his skin, which included the name of his mom and sister on his shoulder blades, a Cheshire cat, a line from Coldplay’s Fix You, among others. But there was a new one, right below the Fix You line, which was above his heart.
“Did you get a new tattoo?”
Marcus sat up, Indian-sitting on the bed. I folded my legs under me, following his suit, as I leaned closer to him. I placed my fingers tentatively on his chest, hearing his breath catch in his throat. I felt his eyes on me intently, as I figured out the new addition to his body art collection.
It was a small lock, with a tiny, tiny question mark next to it.
“I’m still looking for that someone who has the key,” Marcus whispered, his voice low and gruff. “Someone who understands me, who can figure me out, and love me despite everything.”
I tilted my head back and our eyes met, and I had to swallow the lump in my throat. His gaze was intense, making me feel like I can combust any moment with just one spark from his fiery gaze.
“Ah,” was all I could manage to say, not trusting my voice. He shrugged, and he fell back onto the bed. I watched him as he looked so peaceful, as if he truly is in a happy place. He cocked his head a bit as an invitation, and I fell next to him, our hands between us, inches away from each other. I felt the heat radiating from his fingers, and there was something else—
His fingers closed over mine, and I stared at the ceiling, letting out a slow, shaky breath, my heartbeat was ringing loudly in my ears.
Jesus, Marcus, what are you doing to me?
I glanced at him, and I caught him staring at me, emotions in his eyes unreadable.
“Happy place,” I heard him whisper, and I didn’t have the energy or courage to say it, but yes, Marcus, we are each other’s happy place.

#BuqoSteamyReads Mina V. Esguerra Bundle - Wedding Night Stand by Mina V. Esguerra [Book Review]
Hi! Welcome to my stop for the #BuqoSteamyReads Blog Tour! We’re down to our final week and this time, I’ll be featuring Wedding Night Stand by Mina V. Esguerra. Disclaimer: For ages 18 and up only.
Links: Buqo Android app, Buqo iOS app
Book Description:
Andrea Crisostomo is no longer your Ms. Right Now, thank you very much. She’s had enough of guys who like her “free spirit” but then break up with her before things get serious. One guy in particular screwed her over so much that she now hates weddings, but she has to suck it up to attend her sister Julie’s big day.
Damon Esquibel enjoys the slow and steady chase, and it looks like his two-year pursuit of Geraldine is about to pay off. He’s at his friend Anton’s destination wedding only because of her. But then he meets the sister of the bride, who doesn’t seem to want to be there, and it’s enough to question his plans for the evening - and the rest of the weekend.
Review:
Wedding Night Stand is a short, sizzling story of Andrea and Damon. A story of change in course of plans, quitting, and coping on heartbreak, Wedding Night Stand definitely doesn't fall short on content. And for Mina V. Esguerra fans, good news! You'll get to see your favorite characters from That Kind of Guy taking their step towards forever. Julie and Anton (former-manslut-turned-rare-kind-of-guy-Anton. Yes him. *swoons*) are tying the knot! And while all this is happening, something hot is brewing up around the corner. Or pavillon rather.
What I like about this story (aside from the Anton-Julie wedding) was the characters are well-established. There's a solid back story supporting the main characters' actions. It is really a feat considering how rief the story is, so kudos to Mina! Fast-paced, no skip-this-part moment. And although the scenario was not what would always happen in daily life, you can still totally relate to the characters. Also, I don't know but I really love the "Of course it is" line of Andrea when Damon said his name. Oh Damon.
I wish it was a bit longer than it originally is. I want to see where the story will lead. But maybe, there will be more. Just like Young and Scambitious. But right now, let's all apply Andrea's mantra: I will not quit until I see where this leads. Cheers! ☺
