“Ey! Don’t go there! A murder just occurred in that area!”

“Hm? Just merely an expression. Nothin’ more.” [ Claude fixed his hat, possibly knowing full well what the young lady was referring to. ]
“Anything is an adventure when you’ve nothing else to do. Or get lost in a city unknown to you.”
{ ~❁~ }
“ O-Oh, um… thank you. “
The girl nodded politely, blushing a bit as she committed the directions to memory. But something was making it hard to do that…
“ But… um…. wh-what was the adventure you were thinking of…? “
Good job, Flora; that’s totally not a suspicious-sounding question.

“Merely explorin’ the area, myself. Nothin’ to it.” [ Claude said, fixing his hat before blowing into his pipe. ] “...but the real question is... WHY are you exploring?”
Selenite bristles at being addressed. This strange, pale person is definitely high strung and… strangely poofy. “I’m exploring. What are you doing there?”

[ The adventurer stumbled back, attempting to protect himself. ] “Good boy! Good boy! Don’t hurt me...!”
“Borf! Wroof!” Loud doggy, too! It’s fast, as well, and heading right towards Claude at an alarming speed, with is massive feet shaking the earth as it runs. Here comes Lee! “WOOF! WOOF!”
#hellhoundlee#(( aaa sorry for the short reply ;A; ))#(( though honestly I can't imagine what else he'd do other than do what he just did OTL;; ))

[ Claude smirked. ] “It certainly does...” [ ...except he wasn’t really fond of too much darkness in his life. Sometimes he needed light to be thrown here or there. No offense to the Dusk Dragon, but...]
[ Eventually, they reached what appeared to be a busy street with people going back and forth from stand to stand in search of something they so desire. The adventurer watched and then took a sharp turn, going into a building. ] “Here we are... Just don’t mind the chaos.”
“I have adapted to it rather well.” [She smiled.] “I make my life traveling. I’ve enjoyed my time in Nohr as much as my time anywhere else. The darkness has its charms.”
[She nodded.] “Lead the way, Claude, my good guide.”

“Hm?” [ The new voice caught the adventurer off guard and turned to see who spoke. The man that stood before him was... odd-looking. That is to say that Claude’s ever seen anyone look like him before. A foreigner, perhaps? ]
“Thanks for the reminder, friend. I was thinking of doing such, but there are other things on the mind. Honestly, it’s hard to tell when you have one-too many things to think about. You get what I’m saying?”
Grigori rarely paid much attention to where he was going. He hardly knew where he was most of the time, and had given up trying to keep track. If he recognized things, that was fantastic, if not, well, too bad.
When he came across the man, he’d been muttering to himself in latin - reminding himself of all the spells he knew, all the spells from Gransys. Among other things, of course. But then he noticed the distinctly lost-looking man in front of him, and paused. Stared a him for a second, and then spoke.
“If you wander long enough, I’m sure you will find yourself someplace you recognize, advena.” Another pause, looking the man over. He looked… strange. Like that woman from the cafe he’d visited before. “Unless I am mistaken, and you are not as lost as you appear to be.”

[ The adventurer’s face turned red as he was hugged and selfishly hugged her back. A huge sigh escaped him as he nuzzled his face into her hair. ]
“I’ve missed you too, Milady. I’m just... so glad to see you again. Honestly, I wouldn’t trade the world to end this moment.”
[ ...But it had to end just as quickly as it began. He broke the hug and looked to Milady. ] “...But you must fill me in on the details. What have you been up to since you arrived here? How did you manage?”
[She was taken by surprise when he hugged her. But she relaxed quickly. It was so… nice to see him again.]
“Oh Claude….”
[Now she pulled him back into the hug, holding him tightly. Perhaps she was starting to tear up too, but she wouldn’t show it. It wasn’t right for a lady after all.]
“You are an idiot. Did you think I wouldn’t come to find you? Leaving me behind with the brothers. I was going mad. If I heard Jean talk once more about how he would use the Treasure Animatus to get Sophie back I would have screamed.”
[She rested her head on his shoulder.]
“I’ve missed you…”

"... oh! What do we 'ave here~?" [ The adventurer gave off a hearty laugh before he unstrung his steel bow. Then he took off his hat and gave a bow. ] "To whom do I owe the pleasure of meeting today? I don't see many Nohrians runnin' around this part of the nation."

"... well. What a predicament." [ The adventurer seemed to have lost his way here in Paris. Which is odd, considering he has explored the city enough to know where he's supposed to go, but today had to be one of those odd exceptions. ]

[ He smirked, bent down a bit, and took the young boy’s hand, giving it a good shake. ] “Pleasure to meet’cha, Baruch! And ah... drop the mister. You can just call me Claude.”
“My name is Baruch, mister Claude!” He held out his hand.

[ His jaw dropped and Claude shook his head in disbelief, if only for a few seconds. ] “Milady... Milady!”
[ Without even thinking, the adventurer ran up to her and wrapped her in a hug as he was on the verge of tears. ] “Oh Milady, I thought I lost you forever! I thought I was never going to see you again after the Treasure Animatus that had control over time and... oh, you have no idea how much struggle I’ve gone through just to come back and--”
[ Finally he let go of her, realizing what he did and he attempted to straighten himself out. ] “Erm... s-sorry. About that, Milady. Didn’t know what came over me! Eheh...”
[She walked behind the bar, pulling her mask out from a compartment in the counter and fixed it on her face before she turned to face him again.]
“Why, Monsieur, I am but a simple bar maid, one with a sharp tongue and sharper personality.” [Milady flicked out her fan, an almost sad smile on her lips.]
“I do hope I haven’t kept one of my regulars waiting too long.”

“Well, it suits you quite nicely, I believe.” [ The adventurer commented as he played a bit with his pipe. A weak smile appeared on his face. ] “I reside around Nohr’s borders and I’ve lived most of my life there in Nohr. Sometimes I get bored with the eternal darkness thing and I sometimes come to Hoshido to roam around a bit in the sunlight.”
[ Before he could make anymore assumptions, he sighed and a smile appeared on his face as he nodded. ] “Why yes, actually. And the place just so happens to be near the castle. Let’s get a move on, then!”
“It was more or less given to me, not many people asked for my name so ‘milady’… stuck. And I don’t really mind either way, as long as people know me for my talents.”
“You seem more a Nohrian-type.” [She chuckled.]
“Let’s try… Sweet and savory, chicken.” [Milady walked over, gently poking him with her fan.] “Red Wine, dry.” [She raised an eye brow.] “Know anywhere to get something like that?”

[ He quietly groaned and continued to frown. Those words sounded like something Milady would’ve said. Did this woman know something about her? First the fan and now her wording. Claude was about ready to mentally ask himself how this could be anymore of a coincidence, but stopped himself as he saw the sign before him. ]
[ His eyes widened in shock. It has been so long ago since he has seen any hint of Le Repaire’s existence until now. Claude turned to the woman. ] “You... just... just who ARE you?”
“Good. Discounts are too much like taking sides.” [She smiled.] “Not that I don’t take a side every now and then.” [Milady chuckled as they neared the bar.]
“Here, Monsieur.” [She paused, thinking.] “My bar.. is like a little piece of the underground.” [She pointed up to the sign, Le Repaire. She sincerely hoped he might start to catch on.]

“Call me Claude, little one. And who might you be?”
“Er- I do not-” a little bugger?
“Who are you, mister?” He peered up at the man.

[ The adventurer fixed his hat and blew on his pipe. ] “There’s a shop near here that sells some. If I had a map on me, I would’ve given it to you in a heartbeat.“
[ Unfortunately, it wasn’t the case. He preferred to wander around with reckless abandon, hoping to see something new or different within the city’s streets. ]
“It is?”
[She asked, nerves getting a hold of her and making her bite her lip.]
“I’m not looking for adventure, I’l looking for some landmarks! Something that will tell me where I’m standing…”
[Yes, she could just leave using one of the doors and find herself in Liltih’s domain without bothering to think of where she was. But Brenda wanted to find the way back into this place.]
“You wouldn’t happen to have a map on you, would you?”
