Old Shoes

These old shoes, battered and torn

Are good for miles, maybe more

They've got personality, just like me

Lace 'em up and shake off the debris

Whats a boot with no sole

Can't wear 'em round with a few holes

I'd disagree, I like 'em worn

Slip real easy as I put 'em on

Well it all makes sense

I'm a beat up shoe

Dangling from the power lines

Lookin down on you

Used to think trendy sneakers were cool

Those brand new kicks seen at school

I'd break the piggy bank, run on my bare feet

Just to find out those kicks are obsolete

I'd wear my hand me downs, still flash a smile

These beat up shoes are good for miles.
