i would love some dousy fic recommendations if anybody has some that spring to mind? finished the show yesterday and literally cannot get enough! been reading some great ones on ao3 but just curious if anybody has fics they keep going back to?

currently nearing the end an aos rewatch, and because i am completely incapable of sitting still, i have been coming up with headcanons.

is anyone interested? probably not.

here’s my daisy ones;

diagnosed pretty early on in school with adhd, though it took a while for the nuns in the orphanage to come around to the idea of it; seven months after her diagnosis as twelve, she was given sleeping medications every day at seven o'clock - sometimes earlier if she wore them out with her mischief. they caved when she became too difficult to manage.

several horrific experiences with the nuns led to a lifelong fear of them, such as being locked in a pitch black closet, going days without food, or being given ice cold baths for insubordination.

high school dropout at fifteen, ran away from new york at the same time.

went to the same orphanage in hell's kitchen with matt murdock aka daredevil - they were really close, looked out for one another.

bisexual, though doesn't really see a need in labelling herself.

failed her driving test multiple times - doesn’t do well under test conditions - so she hacked the dmv to ensure she was given a license.

seven foster families in total, some were better than others.

never really knew her ethnicity, went through life always guessing.

showed real promise with computer science at school, teachers wanted to encourage a career in coding but the rising tide had already gotten to her.

was responsible for several high profile hacks; leaked information on the once classified project pegasus, leading her to be put on s.h.i.e.l.d.’s radar. quite infamous in the ‘hacktivist’ communtiy.

once an agent, she became hellbent on taking life seriously; trained rigorously in krav maga, kickboxing, boxing, jujitsu and the like.

she also made the most of having melinda may as her s.o., who taught her mandarin - it was another way to grow closer to her roots, being born in china.

couch surfed for a long time until she scraped together enough money for her beloved, beat-up van - earned the money by changing grades for college kids, leaking test answers etc, nothing morally ambiguous.
