SIMPLE HACK TO MAKE EYEBROW PENCIL GO ON SMOOTHLY
Are you a fan of neatly drawn eyebrows? Do slippery brow pencils often cause you grief? Sorry to sound like an infomercial but these are in fact very pressing questions we need answered. Eyebrow pencils are one of the most commonly used makeup items to shape, fill-in and draw on brows. They also, unfortunately, can be tricky to use.
Fortunately, there is a simple hack that can make your eyebrow pencil perform its best, without repeating the strokes multiple times.
Step 01: Spritz some Lakme Absolute Pore Fix Toner on a cotton pad and wipe your brow with it. This will remove any moisturiser or foundation residue you have on the brows
Step 02: Use a beauty blender to press some translucent powder onto your brows to mattify it. Use a lightweight and mineral formula like the Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Finishing Powder. For the hack to work, you will have to press the powder below the brow hair. Go from the outer corner to the inner arch, in the direction opposite to the hair growth.
Step 03: Brush away the excess powder. Now, go over with your eyebrow pencil to draw and fill in your brows. We recommend using a waterproof formula like the Lakme Black EyeBrow Pencil to get a bold and well-defined look

EYESHADOW TIPS AND TRICKS SO YOU DON’T GET YOUR EYE MAKEUP WRONG...EVER!
What’s a party look without eye makeup with lots of drama, right? But for some beauty noobs, it can be a bit tricky to achieve. It does not always come out to be as perfect as you want and you end up looking like you didn’t know what you were doing! If you love gorgeous, dramatic eye makeup but your eyeshadow palette is collecting dust in your drawer, you need to read this. These eyeshadow tips and tricks will make your makeup simpler and your life easier. Read on and get that palette out now.
Prep and prime
If you’re a victim of oily lids or sweaty skin, a primer is what you should never skip on before applying eye makeup. It hydrates the lids, makes your makeup last longer and doesn’t let eye shadow transfer. Prime your lids with a dollop of eye primer.
Bout that base
Pick a neutral eyeshadow shade similar to your skin tone and cover your lids with it to make a base for your eye makeup. It gives dimension to your eyes and makes your eyeshadow shade pop up. You can also use your foundation for this step.
Apply the shade
Apply a dark colour on the upper lid till the crease and blend. Work with two colours, with the darker one on the outer edge till mid-lid and lighter one on the inner edge or nail the single shadow colour trend by blending one colour on the eye lid. For the smokey eye look, apply a fine line of eyeshadow closer to lower lash line using the eyeshadow brush and blend softly.

DON’T THROW THAT MELTED LIPSTICK OUT JUST YET. THIS SIMPLE HACK WILL HELP YOU FIX IT
As complete beauty enthusiasts, one of our favourite things to do is hoard as many lipsticks as we possibly can. Hence, it goes without saying that a lost, broken or otherwise damaged lipstick is a heartbreak we go through from time to time.
How to fix a melted lipstick
Should you ever find yourself in this kind of pickle, the very first thing to do is to place the lipstick in the freezer so that you handle the damage better. If you’re lucky enough and if the lipstick hasn’t completely lost its shape, then you can use it as it is. However, if it has stuck to the inside of the cap or if the lipstick has completely dissolved and turned into something that you can no longer recognise, it is time to use this hack and repot it.
Start by trying to scoop out as much product as you can using a small stick. Transfer this product to a small microwaveable dish and heat it for just a few seconds. Once the lipstick has completely melted, move it to a clean lip balm container. Use a clean, sterilised spoon and gently pat the melted lipstick down into the new container to give it a smoother surface. Finally put it in the fridge and let it sit there for about two to three hours.
This will help the melted lipstick settle into and take the shape of the new container and this is an indication the lipstick is good to use once again. But since it is in a flat container, you would have to use a lip brush to apply it to your lips, but other than that, the lipstick is almost as good as new.

HOW TO KEEP YOUR UNDER EYE CONCEALER FROM CREASING
Concealers they’re magic potions for our skin when we’ve had a rough night or when we’ve been partying a tad too much and waking up to tired looking under eyes. If this is also your story, you might know that concealers can crease and look cakey under the eyes after a point. While doing away with them is absolutely not an option, what you can do is use our tricks and tips to save your concealer from creasing…
Use a minimal amount at first Yeah, we know you’re all excited about concealing those dark circles but over-applying is only going to make things worse. Make sure you apply just a wee bit and then dab/use a concealer sponge to set it under the eyes. If required, go for a little more but don’t cake it up too much as that is sure to cause creasing.
Go over with a compact
Applying makeup can be both fun and tedious. There are so many steps to the finishing process but if you truly wish to avoid concealer creasing, make sure you apply compact powder over the concealer so it sets perfectly. But while you’re at it, make sure you apply the compact quick otherwise the concealer tends settle into your fine lines. You can use the Lakmé 9 to 5 Flawless Matte Complexion Compact that’ll set matte and give you coverage.
Use an effective concealer
Creasing largely depends on the kind of products you use. Use something that’s easy to hold and one that blends well with the skin. Make sure the texture isn’t overtly drying as that would surely make your concealer crease. We’ve been relying on the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Concealer Stick with SPF 20 as our go-to concealer. This one comes in fair and medium shades so you get coverage along with protection from the sun.
Layer your concealer routine
Again not exactly the best thing for you lazy ones but this step is crucial to concealer application. Just like you prep your skin for foundation to stay longer, you also prep your under eyes so your concealer stays put and doesn’t crease. Do so by using a hydrating eye cream. Let your skin drink it up and then go ahead with the concealer.

3 MASCARA HACKS EVERY WOMAN SHOULD MASTER
Caring for your eyes isn't enough, they need dressing up too! The right kind of eye makeup can transform your face from drab to fab within minutes! Here are 3 mascara hacks every lady should know…
1. Keep It Clean
A clean mascara wand means much smoother application and a more even finish. Wash it every alternate week with warm water to get rid of any mascara build-up. Meanwhile, keep the tube covered with some scotch-tape during cleaning, to prevent hardening of the product. Ensure the wand is completely dry before placing it back in the tube. Next, prior to applying, wipe excess product off the wand, thereby leaving just the right amount needed to coat the lashes.
2. Heat It Up Another useful tip is to avoid the hassles of clumpy, cakey mascara by warming it up slightly, before applying. Simply roll the tube briskly between your palms, and the heat from your body will warm the product, enabling a smooth, clump-free application.
2. Be Choosy
Be sure to invest in a mascara that suits you. Choosing water-proof mascara is essential, as 'raccoon eyes' look adorable on them, not on us. It's also important to know the finish of your mascara. For instance, sparse lashes require a volumizing formula, whereas short lashes need curling and lengthening options. This also implies choosing the right shape of brush being used.

HOW TO APPLY FOUNDATION
If you want your makeup to look perfect, pay attention to your foundation. It acts as a base for your makeup, which in turn makes it look better and last longer. Here are some easy steps that can help you apply your foundation in the most flawless manner!
Step 1
Cleanse your facial skin and start by applying a moisturiser and a primer. Follow it up by applying a dime-sized amount of Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Foundation that gives you medium to heavy coverage and has a creamy texture, which gives you a more even skin tone.
Step 2
Carefully blend the foundation on your face with a brush or a makeup sponge. Make sure there is no residue or patches of foundation left behind after you blend or your skin may end up looking very uneven.
Step 3
If you aren’t using a sponge and are using your hands instead, make sure you blend with damp fingers to ensure a flawless application that lasts long and looks smooth.
