THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT

(For those wondering, this was from my second chest LOL \o/)

It always starts simply, a whine or a sneeze, sometimes throwing up right onto the carpet. You’re mildly worried, but you know that your dog will be fine if he rolls around outside and eats some grass. Or maybe there’s a cat crawling around your home, waking you up at 3am not for the Spastic Run it always indulges in but to smother your face and listlessly lie here while it wheezes softly. In the morning, you find the vomit in your shoes and you think everything is okay. But they still don’t seem well enough after the umpteeth time you had let them out yesterday, and begrudgingly you call your vet for yet another doctor’s visit you were hoping to not have. You schedule the emergency meeting, bring them in, and they give you some antibiotics to help your beloved Fluffy.

You turn on the news after successfully medicating your pet, and you see that the latest virus is plastered all over the news. Again. You aren’t sure how to handle this. In part, you’re worried because it could reach you, but in another part, you aren’t worried because media hype is all there ever is. Torn, you listen to how they’re discovering a new strain of the virus going around, and you feel your stomach drop out when they mention that pets can be infected, and the map of confirmed cases is close enough to your home you don’t feel comfortable.

As you go to sleep that night, you don’t see the crows picking at the corpse of the rat your pet killed when you let them out. Otherwise, you might have noticed that their wings appeared a bit too leathery to be a normal bird’s wings. The next few days pass at a crawl as you watch your poor pet fall ill. You go to work, and you come home, and you dote on the poor thing while it whines at you. You spend all weekend scrounging around the internet for ways to help your pet, and all you find are cases about the infection. You really don’t feel comfortable. Monday morning rolls around, and you find yourself wondering if you can’t just lay in bed all day. You really don’t feel good.

When you finally convince yourself to stumble into work two hours late, you feel as if the ax has been dropped when you see the military rolling into your town. Maybe the end of your world has finally come. The virus, as you find yourself detained and weirdly detached from your body, has finally succeed where the previous strains have not. You feel a calming sort of blank mindset wash over you as the days continue in your newly-formed home consisting of a medbay. Perhaps one day you’ll get out.

Perhaps.

New babies for sale!

A whole slew of hatchlings have been born and are up for sale on the AH! Prices are haggle-able, I would love to see these babies go to a new home! Also! Check out this heckin heck awesome girl who finally got her stain gene. #swoon. I love her so much and her outfit/accent is lookin sooo good. I’ve been making some great progress on my gen1 gene list. :D OH! And I reached a dream goal of mine that I’m super excited to share soon !! Stay tuned ~
