Not anonymous asking us to "stop bullying" when that's exactly what moony did 😤 there's no room for people like her in this fandom. We are not bullying; we're protecting each other. The damage has been done with no apologies from them.

Hi there, I would kindly ask you to stop spreading hate about moonyinpisces. Before you cancel her for spreading negativity in the fandom, you should consider what bullying like that does to an individual. Please don't bully an awesome writer out of the fandom. Just block her and move on. If you think her inclusive portrayal of pestilence is transphobic then maybe you haven't read far enough to see the character develop... just a thought. And you are allowed to think that and have that opinion, but starting a public shitstorm is just not it, pal.

I literally just posted ONE screenshot and called them out for pretending to be a safe space and then mocking people and laughing about them behind their backs.

They are the bully. That is bullying behaviour.

They are the one mocking writers and other members of the community. I haven’t attacked her as a person, her queerness, her writing, her portrayal of any characters, or anything else about her, I have simply highlighted the fact that she is behaving maliciously and duplicitously towards other people in the fandom, all of whom were too scared to even speak her name when they talked to me.

Nobody should feel that way here. Not ever.

If it’s bullying to tell the fandom that someone they thought was safe isn’t, then fine, I’m a bully. And I’ll be okay with that. But I won’t stop calling out bad behaviour when I see it.

Also, for what it’s worth, I talked extensively with someone who used to be in moony’s secret server, and they confirmed everything is true.

I don’t spread gossip. I’m not trying to start anything. I said on my original post that I didn’t want to start a witch hunt or anything.

I’m just trying to protect vulnerable people in a fandom who, frankly, have been through enough in the last year.

In shock tonight over the revelation that a well-known GO author (moonyinpisces) has been baiting members of her own server and then making fun of them behind their backs on a private channel; she also encouraged the same people to trash fic authors who wrote femme or trans Azicrow, had strong TERF undertones in multiple conversations, claims asexual people are just repressed, and that BDSM equals abuse.

The line that I highlighted, “they mistakenly think it’s a safe space again” made my blood boil - what kind of person pretends to create a safe space?! Appalling and shameful behaviour, and yes I will call it out when I see it.

This fandom is especially unique and wonderful for the fact that Aziraphale and Crowley can be anything, represent anything - as two beings of no fixed gender or sexuality or form, they can be asexual or trans or gay or bi or female or pregnant or literally anything you want. For those of us who have never seen ourselves represented in media or in fiction, this free pass to create them into anything we want is beautiful, and so rare. To make fun of that, to make a mockery of why these characters are so special and precious to us, is abhorrent. To single out fic writers who write something you don’t like and whisper about them like bullies in a schoolyard is so immature - if you don’t like something, don’t read it, assume it’s for someone else, and move on. There are tens of thousands of Azicrow stories out there to read.

Now I don’t want to spread more anger or hate, so don’t attack the people in question - because you’re better than that kind of behaviour - but I do recommend the block/unfollow button.

I won’t tolerate bullies, no matter how old or popular they are, or how good their writing is. A bully is a bully and they should have no place in this fandom.

i can’t help but notice that a lot of the people who are trying to tell us what to do and what to feel clearly weren’t here when the neil gaiman allegations actually came out (spring last year). a lot of them aren’t even in our fandom. like is this just a moral outrage competition? purity posting for notes?

a lot of us have already processed the allegations (we’ve had months) and are in full support of the victims. and yes, we are also still in fandom. we’ve tried to get him fired, we’ve lived through near-cancellation, we’ve donated to victims of sa. we’ve also been sharing our fics and art and gifs and headcanons.

if you don’t think you can be in a fandom with a cancelled creator as ethically as possible (making sure not to support the creator financially) then don’t be in one.

to all the others: i’ll still be here as long as it’s my hyperfixation. sharing your fics and art and gifs and headcanons. 🤝
